Hey I just got a Droid Razar in Virginia and will be traveling to Alaska. Anyone know the best aps to download so I can rely on it for navigation even if I'm not in cell service? Thanks!
There are really like 3 "major" highways out here. Any GPS app should work. I wouldn't worry about getting lost.
really if you get lost in this state on our roads you should be riding or driving. for the most part there is one way in and the same way out.
about the longest you get lost there is 10 or 15 minutes besides half the fun of being on holiday is see what you will find. You are taking to a guy that travels around europe without a gps I just don't see the need.

One other possible use for a GPS in Alaska...... We have one old fart who hangs around this place that knows the roads and trails as well as any one possibly could. Yet he still uses a GPS. He is such a cantankerous curmudgeon that he purposely sets the GPS to take him in the opposite direction he intends to go, just so he can have an arguement with it on his ride.
