Well - out of the blue - i found a good deal on a KX80, with seized engine. 1998 im told
OK - not ideal but what the hell - im up for a challenge on a shoestring budget.
if I can get it looking fairly nice again,a nd running as well,
    THEN
    1. i have my first little offroader
    2. i might just decide to make my SRX250 into a 2 stroke 80cc using the KX engine
    3. I might start bucket racing with the KX - but that means road tyres for a KX - do you even get such?

What I love about this KX is that it is so light and simple.
    pictures to follow

PS - the previous owner actually managed to wrench the piston out of the cylinder, so thats where i start from - damaged piston and cylinder.
    Completely worn chain and sprockets

Bust out the spanners ( I love that when blokes say Spanners :lol3 ) Ok the first thing is look in the bottom end for bits and rubbush from the piston replace the all the main seals ( it maybe the cause of the K-Blammo :eek1 ) go through the carb check the filter on the Petrol tank, and enjoy the ride BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :clap

Look at the piston, not much carbon, because it was really, really hard to start. Post a few pictures of the cylinder walls, this might not be too hard to repair.

Doing some work on it. Hasn’t run yet. Exhaust was mangled for one, and a few other issues.
