Yea - like R2L said.

When you get up around Center Hill Lake and beyond it can get real mountainous / advanced.
There are not any "open trail systems" that I know of.
Most of the trail riding is guided by locals.

Thanks R2L and ihatefalling...that's kinda what I figured. I will repost there and see if I get a response. I may just take the mountain bike... looks like there is a state park kinda near there with some decent trails. Thanks again.

There's a good mtb bike trail at Defeated Creek on Cordell Hull Lake. I and six other guys just cleared it of all the downed trees and overgrowth this past Saturday so it's good to go!

Where all do you ride?
I used to be big into MtB, even help set-up a race when I lived in TX (The Motorola Classic).
Might have to break out the old Cannondale hardtail and get back after it.

Lock 4 mostly. There's trails all over the place. The one in Thompsons Station will kill a grown man. I rode the new trail in Hendersonville before work this morning. Check out tnmountainbike.com. They have a good listing of all the trails around here.

Thanks threadkiller I will definitely check that out. There is a State Park just south of Sparta called Fall Creek Falls. It supposedly has a mtb trail. Have you ever ridden there or know anything about it?

Good times last night, thanks to all who showed up. This was the first time that everyone there was on two wheels. A big welcome to the two new guys, Scott and Bert.

I'm in if you're thinking Papa Boudreaux in Santa Fe......just remember that they don't take credit cards.
