I'm looking at a 2001 Sherpa with about 7K miles and in pretty good shape except for faded (and cracked in one place on the side) plastic. Fairly new tires. Rebuilt master cylinder (he said he it need to be rebuilt, he just had time to kill so he went ahead and did it), progressive front end, new fork seals. Took it for a spin and enjoyed it. A good fit for a new rider like me.

The seller is willing to come down as far as $1700 but no further. Does that sound like a fair deal, assuming the bike runs as well as it seems to? Of course I'd like to get a great deal, but I'll just have to be satisfied with not getting ripped off. The seller seems like a quality guy and I don't mind not getting the sweetest deal.
