It's too bad I didn't check the angle before starting on the hillclimb. . . It was 5:36 to the point of the first drop and another 6-7 minutes to get it turned around for another run, followed by the slippery rock scenario which brought me up to about 16 minutes of footage looking at the ground. Wouldn't have been so bad if I had a helicopter crew for a different angle to cut back and forth to, but I didn't.

I definitely want to go back there with some company and see how far you can take those powerlines. They seemed to go on for miles just straight across the various peaks in the distance.

I've got some more video of the riding I did with Heatmaker, Tslapper, and crew but the best will be of the "dirty bike" ride on Sunday morning that ended up being just me and JW (sorry i never did catch your ADV handle if you have one).

Some asked to see more pics of the plank. I'll just post one, since CJ is out having fun and will not post his RR until later this week.



And, an unrelated incident the next day, on the way home from Jamaica he finally rode the KLX hard enough

Bad camera angle or not, that's the stuff that makes me Jones for a small dirt bike again.

same thing happened to leahs KLX , I got some solid round stock that had the same OD as the ID of the sub frame and cut them a few inches long , brought that to a local welder and had him insert the pieces and weld the frame to them and then around them , it held up fine and she rode another couple years like that before selling it , and as far as i know the new owner hadn't had any issues either .

Yeah or guys riding big bikes, instead of the Sally's I was riding with

That's what the welder did the next day. It's all fixed now.

My apologies for coming back late to the party here to post up some pics!

I don't have any great riding pics or video, but did want to put up some brownie points for two wee gals who were thoughtful enough to put together a "Servival Kit" for me, you know, "just in case" Who knew I was gonna need it?!

Fortunately, they included some paper and a black crayon and green marker as well as some pink and purple yarn that was hand braided! It sure did come in handy when the rear subframe let go! I was able to successfully draw out a fix for the problem with the paper and crayon and then fashion a repair using my mad McGyver skills using only 550 cord, some Rok straps, and stabilize everything with the pink and purple yarn! Just wanted to say thanks girls, you really were a big help! I will ALWAYS carry my Servival Kit with me, no matter where I go! It is an essential piece of my tool kit from here on out! The wee gals I mention are very cute and quite young and not mine, they belong to a fellow inmate here, so the names have been withheld to protect the innocent!!

Thankfully, the bike is all welded back together, now I just need to reassemble the tail so I can ride Monday! I'll have to tear it back down when the new plastic comes in Wednesday but at least I won't miss the DARC ride!!
