    Suscribed.

I was supposed to do the COBDR and UTBDR starting last week, but I was doing them alone and the rain made me cancel.

Instead I will enjoy your RR and pics and get ready for my next attempt which will be in May 2014

    Thanks for posting!

In and subscribed on day #1!
That first night's campsite is going to be tough to beat.
Hmm, we've been looking for a way to link up the Colo and UT BCDRs..
Just curious, could this trip be covered in 8 days? (I know, I should take more time, but I don't have any.)

Thanks for posting Mark, nothing like another Big Dog RR! :clap

BigDog, your tracks loaded in my basecamp perfectly. I must be getting better at it. I followed them out through day 3. I think this might be one of your best! I'm going to wait and let you catch up so I don't spoil the story for me. I am interested in pictures of the trail after looking at the tracks and maps. I'll likely be solo for some of it.

Your pictures are awesome! I've been down the Mokee Dugway, but I never knew about Muley Point. Dang! ...and no wind. Very special for your gang.

Thanks again. Your trips are always a great inspiration for me. I bought your bike and trimmed it out as you suggested. I parked it out west and now I am riding your tracks. I even scouted some of the GWT around Phoenix. Some of that was not big bike friendly, but plenty of go-arounds. -P

Yes that campsite was awesome------I don't think the BDR boys knew about that place----they didn't route it to it anyway.
I found it poking around on google earth----and went "Holy Sheet"----I don't want to just go there---I want to camp there and soak it all in.
Reminded me of Toroweap on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

No---not in 8 days------------unless your were flying----and nothing ever happened-----and lots of stuff will. You'd be way better off relaxing---slowing down and doing one state in 8 days. You'll just get your panty's in a wad trying to do it in 8---that's all you'll be thinking about----getting it done.
Linking the routes together at the bottom is a day---and linking them together at the top is at least 2 days. So there is 3 days shot.--------well not shot.

I'm waiting for my buddies to chime in before I move to day 2.

So the pressure is on them---get on em' :deal:D:D:D:D:D

Dingweeds is a hunt and peck kind of guy---but that Bash3r can type faster than most people talk. And he's a wizz with pictures---and video's.

    Hi Bryan,
It just wasn't that bad for us---but we ran into riders who were whipped and had tore up bikes that warned us not to go in certain places----and we didn't.

My wife was watching the weather and was freaking out. But she's good at that.

One quote I'll remember from one very experienced rider we ran into on a 990 after wrestling their bikes thru miles of mud---picking them up now and then---------------he said "I got nothing left"-------"I'd recommend you turn around"---and we did.

Places like this..especially getting to camp there, are so beautiful to me that's it's almost surreal.

Nice RR. Thanks for taking us along!

Hope the weather was as good for you.
I was totally ignorant about this place---and called somebody at the Forest service and they told me I had to have a permit to camp there.
Then I called the BLM and she said no problem to camp there.
She did ask me to do a few things.
Don't camp in a new spot---don't get off the main road-----pack it in---pack it out---leave no trace.
    And we did.
There are no facilities there whatsoever.

I'm in for this one!!! I've done Valley of the Gods & Moki a couple of times on the VFR. We usually camp at Goosenecks--also primitive--and WINDY....

Our daughter Heather & her boyfriend have lived in Cortez for years. They both work in the Sheriff's dept & they ride. Stop in & say Hey next time you are there.

Now back to the report. Your pix are way better than mine....
