I am looking for a hand guard enlarger for an LC 1200GSA. I have looked at both the Wunderlich and Touratech options, but am not sold on either. Any thoughts or other recommendations?
Just put a pair (Barkbuster Blizzards) on my GSW, fit better without the stock handguards in place. Work great, still easy to see the controls, for those that must. And they look good too.
I'm in the same dilemma. I'm not interested in any of the fabric solutions. Givi also makes a set of the enlargers, although I don't like the transparent material:
Barkbusters Storm are plastic. I love mine gives excellent protection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nesbocaj appears to have the Barkbuster BBZ guards http://www.barkbusters.net/products/290.html Various versions of the Storms here, all indeed hard plastic: http://www.barkbusters.net/products/storm.html JR356
The OP specifically inquired about hand-guard enlargers, the Storms appear to be complete replacements, they look appropriate for a Japanese enduro but out of place on a GS.
I have the Touratech "Spoilers" on my '14 GS. They were pretty easy to install, look almost stock once installed and work well. I would recommend them.
Does BMW have anything? They did for the previous GSA (I have them). The grey section was replaced with a taller black one.
These look interesting. Seem to offer good coverage. May give them a try. Looking at the Barkbusters as well. Thanks to all for the feedback.
For a lot of wind/rain protection at a reasonable price ($40) that can be removed in seconds when you don't need them, you might consider the Bushwackers from Giant Loop. They attach over your existing stock handguards
Sorry, I don't know. I just grabbed this photo off the Giant Loop website Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought that bag....its too small.......i now have the Wunderlich handlebar bag its a better looking bag that works well cause it holds its shape and holds more stuff × 4.....
Not to derail this thread...I am only looking for something small enough to throw my phone and wallet in. It rains a lot and i have already fixed my iPhone a few times this year from water damage.
Waterproof pocket/pouch from camping supply store or electronics store and slip it in your jacket pocket. Even easier, seal it in a ziplock bag and put in your pocket. JR356
