Doug, I know you've got a lot on your plate already but, in the latest issue of National Geographic there's an article about a temple complex in Turkey near the Syria border that dates back to 9600 B.C.
It predates Stonehenge by seven thousand years. They carved and moved stone pillars that weighed 16 tons.
Gobekli Tepe is the name .

As if you didn't already have too much to see.:huh

I know you ride over in Europe a lot, doug. But I didn't know you were a "Top European Rider".

As usual, Doug has his priorities straight. Bike party first, official stuff later. :evil

I'd dearly love to see some photos, along with your insights, that you would take of the temple complex that bk brkr baker mentioned.

yep, the LX5. I like it. It has alot of doodads that I have no idea what they do, so I just have it on auto.

while I was in BG, I got my new stickers printed.
they are a little more acceptable to the masses. haha

    Hey Doug,

Since you were to head towards Kusadasi, you may like to chime in to Air Show at June 4-5 as well. If ya happened to do so, drop me a message for your free beer, dude. We are planning to ride from Istanbul to Izmir for the event on Friday.

hmm, that looks interesting. Im in Gallipoli now, will check out the battlegrounds tomorrow, then head south.
I'm planning to visit Efes on saturday, maybe I'll come to the airshow too. but they say 160,000 people will come for it, and that's about 159,000 more than I'd want to deal with.
I for sure wont take the road from Izmir to Ankara on sunday, I'll go a different route!

    Doug

That shouldn't be too difficult- there are some nice mountain roads around there IIRC.

Looking forward to the pictures from the Kusadasi party!
There used to be a bunch of 60's vintage USA iron around the coast. The Turks really new how to pimp their Chevy Impala's..
