Yamaha Venture with California Sidecar Friendship I Sidecar package. This is set up specifically as a Sidecar rig and is to be sold as a package. Includes an '86 Yamaha Venture Royale full dresser touring bike in very good condition with 1300cc V4 5-speed engine, shaft drive, AM/FM Cassette, rider-passenger intercom, 40 channel CB, Computer Air Level Suspension, rider back rest, Progressive springs front and rear, SS braided brake lines, 120k miles. Everything works! The bike has a Steer-Rite raked triple clamp for reduced sidecar steering effort and CANNOT be ridden solo (without the sidecar) as set up. The original un-modified triple clamp is included if you want to re-convert it to ride solo. Color matched Friendship I sidecar (circa mid '80s) fully integrated to the bike's audio package with a passenger remote control including CB Push-to-Talk and headset volume control. The sidecar has an upgraded seat and color matched upholstery in addition to a convertable top and side curtains.

Does not make sense to me either. Maybe he tried selling them together with no luck? Is it a real Harley sidecar?

Looks to be a Harley sidecar. I actually like the shape of the Harley chairs, I just find the bikes to which they are typically attached to be bland. Too bad I'm not in the market.

I nearly inherited one of these, a poo brown wagon, when my grandfather passed away. Wish I had taken it now, but at the time, i couldn't imagine anything worse.

Car Magazine used to have a summary for every new car on the market in the back of their magazine. For these it said:

For : Cheap, can be driven on a motorcycle license.
Against : More stable in reverse.
Summary : About as sensible as hopping.

Nope. Now I've run bikes without front brakes before, but never a HACK without front brakes. The rear drum on a Triumph is not enough to safely stop a hack all by itself.

Is that rope on the chair to use as seat belt? Very safety conscious....... At least no one will noticed if chair smacks into a wall......already flattened.

I know of a 1963 R series (600 c.c.?) BMW with original Steib sidecar. Less than 2300 miles on the clock.

Seller is asking $21,000 for it.

I have been wanting to get in the sidecar game, especially an older BMW rig, but I have no knowledge of the potential value of such a rig.

Can you give me your thoughts?

Seems like the old / series Beamers command a premium price. I guess they are worth what someone will pay for them.
