Oh Blake, Your so crafty, you had us all fooled! With a delivery time of 2 months out and seeing as how you rarely keep anything longer than 2 months, you can cancel your order of the Vette just before the delivery date. How clever :lol3

I think he needs to powdercoat the wheels black. Chevy doesn't have the guts to do it. But they did have the guts to put 460HP and 460 ft. lbs. of torque under the hood! Yikes!

They do black wheels - you can get them with the Z51 package.
They go from 18" to 19" and lower profile, so the ride would be a bit less compliant.

I didn't want that in a 'touring' car, the ride will be plenty firm.
Z51 is an awesome track package, but not what I wanted.

Congrats, Blake. Looks like a lot of fun. Good luck keeping your license. I know a good traffic ticket attorney if/when you need one. He's good at saving licenses. :deal

Very Nice! The C7's are an amazing performance car value for those that can resist checking $30K+ extra in factory options... Heck, even Jeremy Clarkson loved it!

Did you find a local dealer willing to give you a decent deal or did you order it from an out of town dealer?

The new Vettes are the sexiest Chevy has made in a long time. Congrats on the new purchase.

You beat me to it. I will have to look for a good example. I'll bet this ride stays with its master for quite awhile.

    Local dealer.
With the number of fly 'n rides I do with bikes - I did do a search, checking big volume places like Kerbeck's, and dealers that got a good mention in C7 forums - but I ended up finding a deal that worked for me here.

The company I work for gets the GM Supplier discount, but virtually no local dealers (and few in the country) are participating with the C7.
The car is too popular and they lose money. Would have saved me $4700 off MSRP though :cry

Also had me looking at Camaro SS 1LE, because the GMS discount did apply, and I could have had a $43k car for around $37k.
(the 1LE package is the track capable handling package - brakes, suspension, wheels, tires from the 580hp ZL1 Camaro)

The closest dealer to the office was where I started kicking tires... and drove a convertible. :eek1 :tb
Every C7 on their lot had a $10,000 "market value" adjustment. I called several other dealers that sold at MSRP.
I gave the first dealer a chance to get my business by first tossing the market value add-on, and starting there....but we didn't get far.

Ended up placing the order at Emich for $1700 under MSRP.

being 59 isn't all bad....$822 a year with the high limits and $500 deductible.

It will make delivering gear to Boulder addresses a lot more fun, Frank :nod :lol2

Sounds like when you're up here again we need to meet up with Saul some time for a Kölsch and some caramelized sweet potatoes at Fate or something.

Yowzer! That's a whole year of fly n rides right there. Since the truck sits out and the bikes are in, are the bikes going to be all gone by the time this arrives? I have any empty third stall you could leave it in. Of course I will need a key to back it in and out when I need to get the lawn mower out. :lol3. :freaky

Should be room for a streetbike still.
I haven't used my tape measure this much in a while

I will probably get one of those Suncast shorty garden sheds to put the lawnmower and snowblower in though.
