Nice! You're about 10 mins or less from where I live (Colebrook).

Looking forward to hooking up for some rides!

Got outbid, and there's no way I'm gonna play that game. Walked away from it.

Back to the hunt, down your way all day Friday looking at more overpriced junk, looking for a decent place.

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about the area.

Happy to drive by any places that you're looking at also.

Thanks, I appreciate it. We've been planning this for years, so at least we're not totally lost in the area. Paid a lot of attention to the market and the prices, along with where the good riding is...:ricky

Looked at a place on Hinchinbrooke yesterday...:evil I knew that was a great road, cause I hit it constantly when I'm out riding. :D

More house hunting tomorrow, got a meet with a builder too.

Hinchinbrooke is nice - good twisty paved section from Hartington to Desert Lake Rd, then the great dirt-road part that connects north to the Westport Road.

Took a neighbour of mine for his first ever motorcycle ride on Hinchinbrooke to Westport for dinner on Sunday evening - good times! He was riding my new-old Hawk 400 Tii, I was on the old faithful DRZ.

That sucks... I didn't think the market was such that bidding wars were likely to happen.
I might just have to get my ass in gear here.:rofl
But that would cut into my riding time.... I'll be touring around somewhere Friday as I'm not working and no kids for once!

    I'm thinking.... north... somewhere... lol

Had 2 places fall through on the bids, one we got outbid, the other the closing date was just not gonna happen for us, that one was just over this past weekend.

But we looked at one after work today, made a bid, back and forth a bit, SOLD! :wings

Door to door move for us, closes the same day as our current home, which is perfect. 3 year old place just north of Yarker, just off county road 6. Bit more than we wanted to spend (okay, a fair bit more), but considering the market in the area, we think we got a good deal. 2.5 acres, big garage, and it's ours.

I'm so happy to be done with house hunting. Put on almost 3500 kms over the last 3 weeks looking for a place, no more of that shit.

Now I can spend my time riding instead. :D

Well of course, that's how I decided on the DRZ! :evil

Hair care tips? Ok, here goes.

Hmm. My wife pulls out the shears every 2 months in the backyard and mows it down. The only hair care product I own is a comb, and it's at least 10 years old, and missing some teeth.

I shampoo with "Mane and Tail".

That's all I can come up with :D

Was on an old road allowance when I wandering home, hadn't been on it since last year. Came up to one water hole that was a lot bigger than before. Started to roll through it, and the front tire just sunk out of sight.

Glad I ain't any smaller, lifting 600 pounds out of the mud was a real bitch, took me 10 minutes to get it back 6 feet so I could get out of there. :huh

Yeah, I'm sore this morning. :lol3

Back up there tomorrow for the house inspection.

That's not until 0900, so I leave out my usual 0550, gives me 3 hours to get there. :ricky

Maybe I'll go hit Flinton and the 509 on the way, then Arden on the drop down.

Arden Rd down to Tamworth is a nice twisty run.. How much is torn up this year? They seem to pick a stretch every year to upgrade and it takes most of the summer to get it done. I ended up sitting for 15 min. or so one day while they had a trench dug all the way across to place a culvert.
