I was at Glen Helen yesterday for KTM's SX event. Rode 250 SX-F and 450 SX-F. Went down and hurt my right knee with 450.
MX is not for me. I didnt have fun anything close to riding my 990 on a regular dirt road. I like the steep hill climbs and the jumps but hated rutted turns. I was hoping that they would let me ride my 990 on the track, but they didnt. :cry
I am sure I'd have more fun that a MX bike.

Lite bikes on difficult terrain is a very different kind of riding. Ask Todd about singletrack in the Piutes. :rofl

My arm is still F'd up and I didn't even fall.

You're a regular Bubba Stewart, Ersin! Those intro days are hard. You're on different bikes, different suspension- it's hard to isolate variables and develop your skills, especially if you're not acquainted with a motocross bike. I can’t help but feel that you’d benefit more from having an unrestricted day to yourself on a little bike,

    so,

    good luck. :bubba hahaha

Keep in touch. I've never ridden a 990. :evil

Then you didn't ride the difficult terrain.....
I know no one who doesn't fall a few times on the "difficult" terrain.

    Hey...I resemble that remark. :1drink

I don't really call hopping off the bike or splattering a slot or step a 'fall'. I'm pretty sure the actual fall last trip when the pig was upside down on top of me is when I blew out my shoulder trying to right the f'r. A hundred pound lighter bike makes a HUGE difference.

Remington Ridge Trail, Breckenridge...I kept falling into the hill cuz the trail was so f'ing skinny and I was skeerd.

The longest lasting injury from riding I've had didn't involve a crash.

That's just a bypass trail on the difficult areas. The difficult areas include no tracks, because no tracks exist on multiple rock steps. Remington ridge is considered a pretty easy trail. Go do Long Canyon, Nates, bull run or Upper and Lower Tobias......or if you really want to shit yourself, Kern River Trail. You fall there, you ain't coming back....

Here's some Bull Run from our last ride up there.
