My wife is from Cebu. I can't wait until we go back this summer. Maybe I can make a side trip and do some riding with you!

Welcome back to the Philippine Adventure Rides thread sir revtech100!

It's been almost a year (10 months) since you last posted here. last post was 2-5-13...

Feel free to buzz us here before you leave there. Maybe a 2-3weeks advance notice/plan would be enough to fix something up.

    Cheers!

All went well for Inmate ddangelo. --> http://www.advrider.com/forums/member.php?u=260100

He returned the bike at night the next day and I brought him to the airport. It was a 24-hour trip to the Philippines. He vowed to return and spend more time here...... riding that is.

Looking forward to your next visit. Thanks for taking care of my bike ddangelo!

When I retire, or maybe before, I want to get one of my rides over there. I've talked to a couple of shippers here (Alaska) with no luck. Any suggestions on who to use from the States west coast? Or am I better off to buy there?

    Hi there.

I picked up a new 2013 Honda CRF250L about a week ago in the Philippines. I have been off the bikes for years and have been travelling/camping using 4WDs in Australia the last 20 years, but as I now spend most of my time off (i work away on oil rigs) in the Philippines I thought it's time for something new so I now intend to explore the beautiful Philippines on two wheels. Lot of the riding/travelling will be 2-up with my Philippino girl on the back.

Starting off with just local travelling here in Cavite until my plate arrives.

I have read through this thread and got a lot of inspiration to see more of this beautiful country.

    See you on the roads!

Recently returned from Tacloban just after the typhoon. Unbelievable destruction of a once beautiful area. Amongst all the tragedy though the spirit and perseverance of the filipino people was astounding. Wish I could of stayed longer to help.

To remember Burt we have a week of racing in November at Invercargill. We have Hillclimb, Speedway long and Short track , Beach, Track, and Street races . Her is Pics of the Wyndham Street Races

No 30 is my friend Sid who raced his OW Yamaha 750 and his Nikkabaker Honda 1100 . He had a great weekend on both bike with 12 wins from 12 races

Its neat seeing all the old bikes out racing . The Burt Munroe Trophy was awarded to an Australian rider who only had 1 arm and leg . He didn't let his handicap stop him enjoying his bike racing . Cheers Toddy

Toddy; I remember Burt coming to the salt flats, the stories of casting his own pistons and things. It is always fun to see the old bikes. Have fun when you get back to the PI.
