Hey everybody, I've got the difficult job of flying out to Montrose Colorado and picking up an older GoldWing that my Dad bought online.
I know.... it's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.
I'll be taking lots of pictures and will post them on here.
Wish me luck! Should be an amazing trip.

Yeah its getting crazy again.

Helped move some friends out of their house in IC on Tuesday night.

Here is the route you need to take back:

South on US550 through Ridgway, Ouray, Silverton and Durango.
East on US160 out of Durango through Pagosa Springs, South Fork, Del Norte, Monte Vista.
North on US285 out of Monte Vista all the way back to the Denver area. From there, you are pretty much stuck with long flat straight stretches of highway but I would recommend cutting off of I76 at Ft. Morgan and picking up US34 across eastern Colorado and the southern tier of Nebraska. Just more stuff to see than slabbing it.

Dude please tell me you checked your water pump gasket before doing the head rebuild!!!!

Yup. I put in a new water pump shaft and seal this winter thinking that was the problem. The old shaft and seal were bad, but that didn't resolve the oil leaking into the radiator. So, it's a head issue for sure. No worries though. Doug at MotoSports is working on it as we speak.

About to do a tear down and do the water pump seal and shaft... not leaking but need to have done prior to long summer trips!!!

And, althought I'm not riding, they did give me Valium for pulling my back out when I tried to lift it into the back of my Xterra.

Bring it over. I'm a pro at that now. Although the heating up the outer case in the wife's new oven to get the bearing out is a bit of a touchy subject around here. And then there's the Valium issue.

Then we hit the road over to Lake Rathbun


Kent and Shawna just picked up that Beemer today.

Then on the way home we stopped at Lake Wapello.

Pretty Cool!!!! I'll be riding around looking at flooded rivers and such tomorrow. It gets me out of mowing. :)

Went and got some good looks at different flooded rivers, here a few shots of them. First one is in Colfax, second is the Cedar at Palisades Keplar State Park and the third is the Iowa around Amanas.

I hope that flooding is over for the year.

Had a great ride with the family yesterday.
Ended up down in MO.ngolia looking for old through truss bridges.
