Where r d photos from today's Redonda Ridge ride?

Well... since you asked... 20 people pestered me with PMs (this is always a red flag because it allows people to back out without everyone seeing it)... 7 publicly committed to the ride... all but one bailed by last night for car failure... forgotten plans... kid issues... whatever ! I called a couple buddies and heading to the Ords tomorrow instead.

Bottomline... internet dirtbikers can be pretty flakey people. I am hopng for better results from this thread. I just hope this doesn't turn out to be ADV-TALK or ADV-BOOK. I really don't have any interest in sitting on a website sharing war stories with strangers that I have never spun dirt with. But with Glenn, Scott and some of the others participating I think we'll have some fun rides. Oct 7 will be a good chance to do just that.

Wed or Sat ride? Oh well! Next time. Will pm u when we ride or if I can break out solo. Love the mountains when able, until I get my axle parts for my xr400. I am limited in speed to the xr250r for tight stuff.

Since I am limited to Sunday rides here is one coming up I am planning.

It is a high desert ride.
All dirt except for 7 miles for food and gas. That's how I like to roll.

Me and some buddies are planning on going on a trip to the lake beds again. Not sure which ones, we're looking at October 14 but any of you all are welcome to kick up some dust with us. Nothing like WOT in the wide open desert!

Who needs asphalt?

Oct is gonna be busy... Oct 7th with the local boys. We have a famiily style camping ride in the Stoddard area 13-14. Heading to the Sequoias for some sss the 20-21... then Phoenix on 27-28 for some red desert single track and stopping to pick up an AZ plate for my new (to me) forest weapon. Then Las Padres Nov 3-4.

The new tool gets a trail worthy face lift starting next week !

Mojavemutt can't make the Oct 7 ride. He is thinking sometime Nov to regroup.

I had conflicting ride opportunities so I'll jump on my back up plan.

The following weekend Oct 13-14 my ride group will be at Stoddard. Some of us camping for the weekend. Mixed crowd with all sorts of riding apparatus. All are welcome at these meet, greet and rides. Bring the wife for the weekend... or just come Saturday AM for a bike only ride. Nothing epic. Bring a plate for a fun flowing 65-70 mile ride.

Don't need to know the 400 that can't make it... just the 5 that can !

December 3rd is a monday.I can put a good ride together around that time period no problem, but not on a Monday. I prefer to ride Fridays and Saturdays, but if the dirts wet Sundays are on for me. Weather will be nice and cool, hopefuuly some rain by then.

I can show you guys one of the spots i ride.
