Today we headed home...rode on Tuesday. There's a lot more exploring to be done in the area. Those logging roads aren't on any map that I've ever seen.

Yeah, Lutz, that's pretty damn close! The folks' cabin is on Spider Lake. We are just past the sign for the (used to be) Rundberg curve - now called Dave's Curve. Follow the flowage to Lost Lake Road and take a left. I've wiped out on those sandy trails more than once!:D

Arrowhead Rider. I will let you know when we are working up there - thanks for the offer. Still have to break ground, but getting very close. The master plan is to get a TW200 for exploring the trails and keep that up there. Looks like a lot of good opportunity for riding!

Mike S. Grand Marais? Log Homes? Do I have the right guy?

You ain't kidding, I spent 4 days there last summer exploring for the Trans Minn ADV trail.
Tons of neat trails that dead end..
I followed this for 25 miles before it just stopped at a swamp with no way across or around.

Saturday weather permiting, I'm thinking of taking the klr on some roads in brimson with one of my kids on back(depending on who behaves the best!). So if anyone is going to be in the area and wants to ride for 3 to 6 hours give a shout. Possibly lunch at pequayan? c-zulu-havent seen your dirt bike yet! MikeS- I am sure your wife could shop that long! Plenty of running stores in the area. Lutz-Put all the pieces together yet?

Tentatively I'm heading to Kenora Saturday, returning Sunday. It has some work involved too, paid, plus travel on the RT. What can be better? Well, having a day or two off and riding around Brimson...or if my 650GS had a better seat, taking that to Kenora instead and getting it dirty around Sioux Lookout.... I'll suffer, somehow.

If Kenora falls through, I'll meet you. Post a time/location to meet.

You are getting paid to go motorcycling? For two days? I am in the wrong trade for sure! Course there was the time a customer made me take his Ultra Glide for a spin on the clock. Or the time I filled the saddlebags with fire caulk, rode to grand marais, caulked for an hour or two, and rode home for 8 hours pay! Man, if I guy could only make a full time living riding! I will post something later in the week when I see what the weather is going to do. Let me know what weekend you wanted to do the grade, wanless road, etc.

Woo-hoo! My bike moves under it's own power with all six gears functional! :wings

I took it out for an abbreviated shakedown tonight. So far, so good. I'll give everything a once over tomorrow night before I deem it totally good to go for the season.
