It's just too bad that Pedrosa and Lorenzo are buddies now. The off track drama would be better if there was some animosity between them Pedrosa does look poised, but it's a long season and so many things can happen. Given the consistancy the front runners display he's going to have to be competitive every race.
Why? Gobbmeier said they wouldn't make any big changes until they gather their own data. Sounds to me like they want German data. They're just starting to gather it. Audi has conquered WRC, and LeMans. They won't see this as insurmountable either, and won't throw in the towel and run to SBK at years end.
Where is that photo in the same turn on the Duc? Must be on someones hardrive. Very competitive year, for sure. I am rooting for good racing, and we will get that
So now they've effectively raised their hands, and are just waiting around to see, if the car engineers could turn their ship, while the others make new steps forward all the time. Beyond me, just when Ducati Corse lost the plot. They used to know how to build racing bikes, even prototype bikes.
On the MotoGP video of MM in his pit after his lowside (?) I see a couple of blinking LEDs on the leathers of his left forearm. I presume those indicate status of an active airbag system in his suit? Does anyone know if most, some or all of the riders have this equipment?
If that is him getting comfortable with the bike, I can't imagine what we'll see once he feels like he's got the thing figured out. I was a little bummed initially to not see Bradl get that ride, but you can't argue with the way MM has come out of the box. Finally, we might see a good 4-way battle again...if only the Bologna tractors could run well, too, things would be really interesting...
I have to agree with you, despite my #46 fan club membership Dani is running strongly, with MM coming thru it's going to be some actual racing this year.
COTA's race schedule shows all 3 classes running, Laguna is MotoGP only (still). I'll be at Austin, Turn 15 grandstands. Apparently most of the stands we saw on TV at the F1 race are taken down so the GA crowd can sit on hillocks around the track? Only stands for reserved tix are T15, main straight, and T1, all else is GA.
Thanks for the above pics It looks like the Duck is more upright, and Rossi is hanging more off the inside, it almost looks like he is going to high side. I guess I need to reup my motogp.com subscription. :eek1
Rossi has always been at his most competitive when happy. Its a very good start to repudiating his last seasons and hopefully to less than processional races at the front.
There is your Prefect line argument about rear brakes I love the pics out of that corner, my work desk top is Ben Spies sliding the shit out of the Yamaha there last year.
I don't think they are using ANY brakes at that point in that corner. Lots of throttle and a healthy dose of TC. IMHO.
Nicky gives a somewhat scathing review of the Sepang test: and http://www.gpone.com/index.php/en/201302079352/Hayden-Ducati-ricominciamo-da-zero.html Nicky doesn't have much to lose at this point.
