That sounds like an epic ride for sure! So your going thru Beaver Creek and Haines then on to Whitehorse? How many miles you think it will be?[/QUOTE]

1600 miles round trip starting from anch..back to anch.
I'll post a map of the route later. Any input can be added & can be subject to change.

I was going to just ride up to Fairbanks then to Tok. And hit Dawson. But then that would be boring since I been up fairbank already. So might as well go explore Canada.

Hey Nutty if the chiro doesn't get it, I do have a dual sport already set up for touring. Just needs wolfman bags. I'm keeping mine for the next bike.

Save your money for a ride out here to MT. Great places to ride and free housing.

Is there a source for tires in Dawson or can tires be shipped there?

They deal with mostly "cage" and Family Truckster (RV) tires. For motorcycle tires, your BEST bet is to PM The Dick.

Of course, depending on your plans, you might want to look at a place in Whitehorse or Fairbanks. Of course, in particular Adventure Cycle Works

    or

The Dick is a great guy, and I will take this opportunity to thank him again for helping me in the summer of 2010, and I could be wrong, but I don't think he is in the tire service business.
