No, I forgot my wifey was heading to movies with a friend so I was on kid duty tonight! I am picking it up tomorrow.. I've been flying my Vtail outside from the minute she went to bed till about 10:00.. It looks so sick at night. hahaaa I want to bring it to a trailer park and fly it over and listen to police scanner. I'm sure it'll get UFO sighting calls. Maybe I can build a tin UFO body for it and add a tractor beam LED spotlight landing light
You should do that! I'd love to hear scanner traffic! Look like a lot of fun in the dark! I should mess with my T-copter settings and get to flipping it!
visionAire is pretty awesome.. Definitely flies very well. Only complaint is it could have a bit more power.. Not needed, just wanted. hahaaa.. But other than that, the thing flies like a dream. Flies very big and precise. I ordered three more batts. Only having one is killing me!
I'm glad you like it! I haven't flown one but feel it is heavy for its size. I guess I'm used to how floaty my profile foamy Sbach is and don't know if I'd want a heavier wing loading plane. 70% the wing loading of the VisionAire and 3" greater wingspan. What batteries does it use?
It is using 2200 3S.. I'm sure there are better planes out there for the $$, but I got a trade offer I just couldn't refuse. Guy traded me this almost new visionaire, and a Lifeproof case for Iphone 5S, for $50 plus an old Futaba 9C transmitter I've had for about 13yrs. I sold the LP case for $30 so really the VA cost me $20 and an old TX
Eating lunch on your "lunch break" is over rated!!! Got some video of windsurfing with the VisionAire will post shortly.
Some wind surfing on my lunch break today: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/IV1fmL-y92U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Did you get it??!! Report please! Some on board video from VisionAire <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/stX360gT010?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/98ChkErw2oI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Grab your barf bag! haha
Well all you flying guys have finally got me to join ya'all. Been doing better and better with my Hobbyzone Champ, it's just a lil too small to go out in any kind of wind. So I'm going bigger. After getting hooked on FliteTest, I cut out one of their FT Flyer's (Blue Dart from RC Groups) and hot glued it together. Tower Hobbies was also running a special on the Tactic 650 with 2 free receivers $130 after coupons Blue Wonder motor, HERC speed control and some servos were ordered from Heads UP RC to get the rest of the electronics. Looking forward to being able to fly in much more diverse conditions and a bit slower with the huge wing on this. And if I crash, I'm out a buck in foam board Pic from the internet
This morning's outdoor maiden video is uploading now! I flew it in my work's banquet hall last night. Tight and couldn't ring her out but was able to see how she floats. This morning was breezy but I took her out anyway. Awesome little plane! 3000kv motor, noisy but strong. Huge 5.75x2.5 prop. Tiny little 150mAh, 45C battery. Light but high discharge! Wing loading is low and she floats nicely. Prop hangs and punches out of of hovers easily. I'm at 6000' though, I could probably prop up a bit more. It has lightening cutouts in the bottom of the wing and is covered with a transparent film. It also comes with SFGs but they don't stay on very well, even with the little slot on the wing, so I flew without them. Stay tuned for video. I was using my Go Pro so I tried my best to keep it in frame but I need to shoot more video with closer-in flying.
Your VisionAire vids are awesome! I need to slap my Go Pro back on my Sbach and do some more flights. I'm waiting for the video, also. Slow upload. Only 20%. :huh
Here's some on board video from the VisionAire - taken with GoPro.. Much better quality than the last videos! Watch in full screen and HD! <IFRAME height=315 src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Vdz6TzEwDJU" frameBorder=0 width=560 allowfullscreen></IFRAME> FPGP72 - yes I keep them in my car.. I haven't had any problems yet.. If it's a particularly hot day I'll crack the windows a little..

Nice! How are you liking it so far? Have you tried it with a 3S pack? I couldn't tell if the birds wanted to play with it, or kill it. haha
Looks good...tiny! I was harassing the birds last night in the back yard with my Crack Yak. They do not like it when it does torque rolls in a hover. They didn't actually hit it, but were diving at it constantly.
I cannot find an answer on how to measure bullet connectors. I got some male connectors with motors I bought and now need to order females to complete the build. Anyone??
