HEY! I resemble that remark! OK, OK, I've already heard most of them but there's always a chance somebody's got a new one. :puke1

Without repeating what others have said maybe an auto/moto sparky would be a better choice than a mechanic?

Least they have the mindset to chase those gremlins that hide in our wiring harnesses.

Best to getting here sorted and turning her from a turd to shit hot!!:clap

I have no idea why you would want the bike. Afterall, it only has: Rekluse clutch, Black Dog Sahara Tank, Touratech rack and 3 sets of saddlebags, Black Dog rear rack and bash plate, Ohlins undermount steering damper, Renazco Seat, FMF pipes, elimination of the emission kit, heated grips, Rally Raid HID Upper Fairing kit, and who knows what else.

What do you think, should I ask $3K for the bike? :rofl

Stick with it mate, sometimes the shitty little gremlins are worse that the one off bigger fails.

Curious which shop you took the bike to? If you don't want to go after the issue yourself I know of two good shops up here that can get you sorted. One in SF and another in Marin.

We all know electrical issues are frustrating. But don't blame the poor SE.
It could be worse. Imagine trying to chase electrical issues on a 1190! :eek1

I have three 950's and what the collective here has said is pretty accurate.
    - Check Battery ( I use a Shorai)
    - Check side stand / clutch lever wiring.
    - Check wiring harness behind the steering tube (Find a quiet and dark room. Look and listen for a short as you turn the handlebars back and forth.)

At one time my SE would stall whenever I put extra weight on the side stand - sometimes - and then later when I turned the bars all the way to the right.
Turns out I pinched the side stand switch wire when I put the skid plate back on.

But like everyone else here, if you want to sell it, I can help you find a nice home for it with two 950 Adventures and a 950 SE. :lol3
