They dropped the Sprint GT for this? With the Tiger 1200 a success? You've got to be kidding me!

I would think putting the tune from the Speed Triple in would do the trick (close enough anyway).

And decent suspension - my base Multi is fab (that's even with non-Ohlins). I don't understand why Triumph find it impossible to get it right - can't they just buy a Multistrada and figure it out :scratch .

Either way I was hoping for a Tiger Sport as a potential second bike.

Had a quick look at the photos in MCN today. SSSA, radial brakes and a slight tweak to the bodywork. Unable to see if the light cluster is any different. Looks like a run out model - like the Sprint GT.

Thats a shame. I suppose it was destined to go that way.

Is it close to the spy pic shown with the rider above?

Yes - but in white. I did hear a rumour that the 1050 motor won't meet the next gen of emission regs.

It needs a redesign as its a bit of a porker too. One criticism of my 1050 was its top heavy feel.

Can't understand why it didn't pop up at one of the shows if it's a 2013 model. That looks fairly finished..

I was interested in a purchase. Hung on until Milan. No sign of it - so bought a MTS12. Nice one boys.

I like it. Would be interested to see full specs and test rides and such. I hope it uses the GT's luggage. I've read a few people say that they went into the dealer to look at a Sprint GT, but rode home on the tiger. The instant turn off for me with the tiger was the smaller luggage.

Hmm, that looks nice. I am testing the speed and street tripple tomorrow, and might take the Tiger 1050 for a spin to get an idea. If its nice I will wait for the new one. After 7 months my GSX1250FA bores me to death, so looking for some zing. Also testing the Ninja 1000. In fact, I am missing my Vstrom 650, yes it was slow, but always entertaining to ride. The Bandit on the other hand :snore:snore:snore

Battle of the street beasts on Pikes Peak ? It's all paved now.
How many 1050 to1200 cc bikes are out there now that could make up this class?

    Triumph,KTM,Aprilla, Yamaha,Ducati , Moto Morini if they still breathe , BMW , Moto Guzzi , Highland , more ?

    Come one , come all.

And I put a deposit on a Street Triple R thinking the Sport wasn't going to happen. The question now is price and when it will be arriving on this side of the world.

Ten more HP and it will be interesting to see what they've done with the suspension, can't wait to check it out.

    I want one. :thumb

Or at least I want to test ride one back-to-back with the 800 and the Explorer. I do love that 1050 motor.

Wonder when it will make it to the US...

It really looks like they took the Tiger 1050 and the Sprint GT and mashed them together. I'm betting on some great results. I still wanna see what luggage they used!
