I just can't believe you honestly think that people should be fined for things like I listed above. Maybe it's my immaturity but damn. :puke1

Maybe I'm just old and grumpy, but I can't believe that you've been busted pretty hard twice recently and yet haven't learned from it yet. The fines do seem outrageously high where you are (and around here you'd see a lot more warnings than citations), but all the more reason to learn from them in my mind. I'm not putting your down as a person because I had the same mindset when I was a teenager, but I grew out of that and started to realize who was actually to blame for all those times I got in trouble:wink:

Absolutely I have, but if I got caught I took responsibility for it. After all, it was a choice I made! My comments are not about the actions, but about taking responsibility for those actions.

I've also fucked without condoms, but when she got knocked up I didn't blame the doctors for finding out she was pregnant!

You know I really do agree with you but like you say the amount of the fines just don't match up to the crime so I argue against the whole situation, since arguing against the amount is basically trying to argue against california voters and is therefore useless.

I have, with the knowledge that I'd have to deal with the consequneces if caught. That's how life works. OP needs to man-up and deal with it (or become the CEO of a major corporation, most of whom are apparently immune from needing to take responsibility :lol3).

If the amount of the fine is the issue then making that argument is not useless. You'll be in for a long-hard fight, but people have been sucessful at getting the state of CA to make legal changes over far more serious issues.

I'd spend more money fighting the amount then I would save in the end.

"I broke the law in front of a cop by stunting in a neighborhood, but I think it's bullshit because I'm special and the rules don't apply to me"

    :csm

If you think the law is bullshit try to change it. Looking for loopholes and tricks to get out just makes you look like a weasel.

FYYFF I never said that, I was in the wrong but I am a broke motherfucker and therefore need to find a way out of it. (yes I'm looking for a job, come to California and tell me how easy it is to get one)
But the other two tickets I mentioned yea I'm special and those shouldn't apply to me.

LOL being realistic instead of thinking I'm gonna take on the whole state of California makes me look like a weasel?

Never, I'm a loner, it's the only fun I ever have, although I will be sticking to parking lots for the next three years.

Working to get the state to lower fines is a
long tern solution for all citizens, it will do
you no good in the short term. Hire a lawyer,
take his advise, take some responsibility
before your legal problems spiral out of control
    and you lose you license.

The point is your attitude about it, not your strategy. I mean you said it yourself; 'Typical a-hole trying to get out of ticket I deserve'.

Oh I will take care of it whatever happens but I'd rather not give them $500 dollars so they can hand it out to some fucking illegal with 8 kids.

cop cut you a break by issuing a ticket you can get out of technically.

do a TBD but you will have to cough up the $ until it is dismissed.

Or maybe trails? Much easier to do your own thing out there, no one is going to care how many wheelies you pull in the woods/desert.
