What happens at a 'Fish Holes' Rally? Is it like a 'Numbat' or 'Numduck' rally which is held over here in West Oz?
I live not far away, cut my teeth @ Fisholes. Camp up on hill if wet. Sandy woops then bit greasy (if wet) on last part of entrance track but doable on roadie, More wildlife in area now from bluegums, keep eye's open..... Turn east @ Shell Servo in Portland,Cashmore Road, (see Dave's flyer above) follow out of town, Look for Airport sign, its a left turn off,(dont follow main road to Nelson!!) Go past Airport, couple of km's, turn off to rally on right, should be small sign (then right and right again, follow track along fence......you'll find it in there somewhere...turn off your motor listen for music...) There is a burnout block, wet T shirt etc, Bar and food too.Good music, band etc. Would be good to see a few more ADVer's there...
Davo, we'll be there Friday to Sunday, head home along the G.O.R on the Monday. We'll be up on the hill again. Come up for a beer. TD.
Gotta fix paris... a pesky lecky fault. I started with the battery, I have gone through almost everything. Now I am thinking its the battery again. I'll try and jump it when I get back from the Trout. Otherwise...
HM and Bob the money is down on the Husky Terra! Jump started the bike and it ran. Would not restart without the commadores assistance. New battery tomorrow. High hopes for a fish hole badge.
