Something like 42 National Championships among them, not counting Teams, Under 21's, Juniors, etc. A whole bunch of talent.
Doug said the spark plug wire poped off...bummer...He gave him a good bike all night, sucks when it is the little things.
haha maybe it is just his "look" and talking polish that makes him seem angry dude looks so searious to me all the time
photos courtesy of Speed Trap Photography Lindback working the outside..he rode this wheelie from turn 4 all the way back down to one some close racing with Scott Nicholls and Antonio Lindback Edward Kennett was kicking ass and was oh so close to making the final Billy Hamill ,Greg Hancock and Hans Andersen...Andersen was a cool guy to talk to
lindback....... that wheelie he rode, against the wall, thru to one, then came out of 2 in the wheelie, and went down. dudes impressive
That was a good time, It has been so long since I have been to a Speedway race! Lindback is my new hero. He was the only rider that seemed to get anywhere riding the outside, too bad it ended the way it did. I am also bummed that Sayfutinov couldn't make it, that kid is impressive.
out of all the youngsters coming up from the USA, i think Austin has a good shot. he rides fast, smart, and with enough guts to make it happen. now if we could get hm on some better equipment, hed be a real threat. ricky is making it happen over there, and i am stoked to see some of our young kids coming up. when i was riding speedway in the early 2000's, i remember being at maely's ranch, and little ricky at age 8 or 9, would go out and run the 500cc bike better than i ever thought i would ever be able to. i knew he was going to go places, and it looks like hes doing well for wolverhampton
If the event doesn't at least get posted to youtube after the fact, it might as well have not happened.
Bryan Yarrow's helmet cam..at 5:07 look how fast lindback is on the outside untill he comes off <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zL9fq-_DjTk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
How much would you have been willing to pay? Nationals at Costa Mesa were $20 1/2 mile at Pomona was $44 I've never seen a Speedway event in the US with the pits so accessible.
Pomona was 75 bucks with full infield passes and was able to watch from inside turn 2. I'd have paid easily 40 for a grandstand seat for Saturday. I'd pay 150 a seat for a speedway gp on us soil, on a "proper" size track
for a real GP I would be willing to go up to $100+ if it was at a real stadium on a real GP sized track.
