bmw... the ultimate driving machine

Picked up my new blue F800GS two weeks ago. Test rode the F700GS and Tiger 800XC and liked the 800GS the best. Totaled my 09 F650GS in July and just started riding again after breaking a bone in my hand. The bike feels great so far.

I am so much in love with this bike..... just waiting if it launches in India in coming year.

Though can you experts give me the detailed difference between these 3 models i.e. F800 / F700 / F650. And which one of them would be a better all rounder?

Just got it yesterday, bare bones stock, my wallet is wide open...again!

Brisbane to Phillip Island and back for the Australian MotoGP, avoiding motorways and freeways where possible and taking the interesting routes.

5050km later... got some awesome stories and had some crazy weather - 40 degrees one day, two days later zero degrees and snowing on us!

Definitely a trip we will never forget. and I love my bike so much more now! (and hate that stock seat even more...)

If there was any doubt whether I'd made the right choice or not, this trip squashed it completely. I do wish we did more dirt than we did on the trip though, but that's okay - next time!

Had you told me I'd be riding around without a quilted liner in my jacket (or a heated vest) in November, I'd have told you that you were nuts!



But I'd have been mistaken.

Little trip up Mt Spokane, a few weeks ago.

Went out today in search of some fall foliage that might provide camouflage for the GS.

You guys have so many more choices in bikes and cars now.
I had to choose between Yezdi, Enfield and Rajdoot when I got my Yezdi in 77!

I'm biased towards the 800. You'll have to figure out which fits you best. I had a single F650- great bike but the power of the twin is awesome.
