    Yee Haw
    TheBeast rolled 165K today !!!
It had 15K on it when I bought it in end of April 2002..

It felt so good to ride today.. :ricky
    I really love my beast....

That also means that I now have 200+K of life miles under me :wings :happay..
Yes I'm really happy... I had all kind of people telling me that you'll never ride much..
    I remember when I started to ride in June 2001 ... I had a NightHawk ....
    I know 200K isn't a lot of life miles .. But I think it's not to bad.For a girl ..
That started riding their own late in life.... :sweeti

And when I felt I wanted something bigger...
I looked at all kinds of bikes.. But with my leg inseam I was really limited ...
Any of the bigger CC's took away from my inseam..
I mean you have to at least have toes touching the ground ..
    :lol2 not a foot of air ...

So I went to Triking ...
I could have a big CC under me and pull my ScooterDog cart (Hotdog cart) with ease...
I still do have the SD cart ...
And have been thinking of firing it up this year...
For just a little extra something...

Well I have things to do ...

Congrads on the milage milestone......thats an average of over 13k miles per year. Doesn't sound earth shattering but one would assume there were very high milege years interspersed with a few low mileage years. I wasn't able to reach 13k on my bike during the last two years !!! So I'm jeolouse....

    Oh and...what's a ScooterDog cart ???

I have well over 200 CD's to look through ..
Trying to find a really good pic of My ScooterDog Cart..
In Action.... I have had 1 rag mag write up about the cart.
Hey it was the centerfold too :evil..

I use to pull it behind TheBeast...
Pop the Umbrella up ..fire up the Honda Generator and and the propane burner that is in the cart and get the Dogs and Barbecue going..
Plus the Nacho cheese... I also sold HM strawberry Short cake too :tb
And yes it was approved by the Health Dept.
It even had it's own hand sink ...

Saturday night we decided to take a ride Sunday..
I haven’t been feeling up to snuff for 20 days..
And I said to HB I don’t care how I’ll feel in the morning ..
I want to ride…The sun was to be shining…
So said let check out Sarah Ann WV.. And Devil Ance Hatfield’s Grave site !!

So we left the farm by 9 am it was 28* out.. Gerbings liners and gloves were in order..
    And off we went…

We cut through the woods and hit VA16.. Then off to Horse pen Cove to 161 and that’s when we said ,Oh crap a wrong turn and hit AbbsValley rd.. that took us 20 miles out of our way .. But no big deal we just had to pick up 52 …
Oh well… best laid plans.. It would have been nice to hit roads that we hadn’t been on ..

Our first pit stop in Hanover…

It was real hard to take photos on the fly, as my gerbing gloves are kind of bulky..
But I did get a few … Like this shot along the river…

    The water looked so cold..

You knew I would get a shot of some rock formations…

Sarah Ann isn’t a very large place .. Crystal Block is right there too…
It did warm up to 48* in WV...

It was a grand day for a nice ride into WV.. James aka Hillbilly met us there.. He is a VRCC member....He lives 20 miles from Sarah Ann…

I had to get that shot of TheBeast at the base of the Cemetery. FYI.. I took all the road crap out..So yes I really cleaned it up..

    A history marker …

    Another marker…

We crossed over a little bridge .. So I took this shot of the creek… It’s all cabled off ..So you can only walk in..

It’s a good hike up the mountain side…You can see the road in this photo.. We were about ¾ ways up…

We come upon the first family grave site.. 1898 !! I just couldn’t make out what the top was .. Lamb or Piglet ?

Finally you can see the the Hatfield’s site.. It really is on a slope of a mountain..

The more you look the more head stones you see.. Even a Bluebird house can be seen. The whole hill side was covered with head stone markers..

I was really stunned by all the graves of babies!!! This one was in alabaster, And very unique....

    WOW so young…

The bottom line on this one read … Blessed Be the Tie… Robert Ance Browning

    Everett Vance ..

This one site caught my eye.. Also so young..

Ok lets get some of Devil Ance Grave site…

I couldn’t read these at all…They set on the other side of the Capt.

It’s suppose to be life size.. I didn’t know he was so short??
The history said he was 2” short of 6’. But he looks a lot shorter then that..

I’ll warn ya it really was a hike up the mountain …I was really surprised at how run down it all was..

All or the Hatfield children.. 13 !!

This is the backside of the stone…

This was at Troy’s site.. I liked it…

Well that’s the Family grave site of The Hatfield’s… You can really see the road wayyyyy down there..

We made our way back down to the bikes said our good byes…

One thing to remember when riding in the coal countryside.. Is Coal dust is slick on the roads. So be careful..
And if you are following a riding buddy you will get really dusty and dirty LOL….

But ya know something I love it !!! And I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunny chilly Sunday…
Then riding with my mate …..On my favorite Valk!!!

Here’s a link to a few more photos of the Cemetery site…

    Nice pics!
Sunday was a great day for a ride and I'm sad this weekend won't be as warm as the last - I think everyone in the area is suffering from cabin fever...

Sounds like a plan.....like I say, the best time to catch all the bikes is late afternoon and evenings. A lot of us hang at the hotel during the day, just riding back & forth through the Gap or Hwy 28. Others take rides over the Cherohala Skyway or BRP. But everyone is at the DG Motorcycel Resort by days end.

We'll fill up the entire hotel. But we're not your usual organized group. We go to great pains not to call ourselves a club or make major plans or schedule any activities. Or activity is getting together to ride back & forth through the Gap, wrench on our bikes and BS all evening. The evenings are the real social event of each day.

Hope you're able to make it over to spend some time with us, drink a beer or two or three or....admire the 2-strokes and just enjoy our sillyness.
