You start by looping it backwards at about 25MPH, then it runs up the small bank on the right, bounces off a tree, and the footpeg gouges into the bark on the last tree. Simple. And after taping and zip tying the broken pieces back on, he did ride it out.

Anyone in SE Michigan have a 2008 (or same vintage) KLR I could throw a leg over and ride around the block? I found one that looks cool, but I've never been on one.

I would imagine a 6 package might be payment enough?:evil

I've got an '08 with upgraded suspension on both ends if Simple's bike is pretty stock and you're of, um, "upgraded" mass like me (about 225 w/o gear). You're welcome to come out and ride it on a dirt road loop I've put together around the northeast of Rochester area. I'll lead you on the loop with one of my other bikes so you can put in some good seat time on it.

Yesterday I crossed one of my first things on my motorcycle bucket list: doing the SaddleSore 1000. My friend Andrew and I and rode up into the thumb, and then around the entire lower peninsula (with a little extra riding around in the middle) and did it in 20 hours. It is amazing what you can do with enough Advil and 5 Hour energy drinks.

Next up on the list is to ride up to the Arctic Circle. Anyone interested? I burned through my wife points for the year, so it will probably next year or so.

    I'd be interested.

EDIT: I'd be interested in a ride up to the Arctic Circle, but as a ride destination, not a marathon ride in a single stretch.

LOL :rofl I don't think we'll be doing it as a marathon ride. I did the marathon once, I'm good. Thanks for making sure everyone is on the same page.

Anyone remember where this photo was taken? Munising? I remember there being a kick-ass view on the other side of those rocks in the background. I'm headed to the UP with my family tomorrow and would like to hit this spot (unless driving a mini-van to the spot would make these manly dual sport fellas appear less manly). :D

I have a DID 525 ZVMX chain I need to rivet. Master clip is ZJ clip with a slight hollow point at the tip.

Does any one have the rivet tool I can borrow or rent?
