As I recall, a sprocket specified for a Wee Strom is the same spline size.

Agree - I've found conflicting info re part numbers. I plan to install the sprocket this weekend...

I put a 15T Wee front sprocket on my Tiger and love it. I'm still getting better mileage than my friends who put the Arrow pipe on and Arrow map, even with the lower gearing! The extra RPM's in 6th make easy roll on passes without downshifting, too. I don't do a lot of interstate but a few times I have hit triple digits with no problem and plenty of RPMS left.

With the stock sprockets, 12MPH was the slowest I could go without pulling clutch in. It's much better now for off road, mountain climbing, etc.

I went down one tooth, using an 04 GSXR-750 (I wish they would add more letters and numbers to that bike name) sprocket from fleaybay. OEM Suzuki has the rubber dampy sides too, like the Triumph OEM.

So far however, I haven't noticed much increase in fuel economy.

I would like to know more about this. Do I possess the mechanical skills to carry it out? Probably not. Would I like to try it anyway? Yes.

Why would you want to do this to a bike that never leaves the pavement? Did you sell the KLR?:huh

Can someone please point me to the thread/URL regarding spare inner tubes for the 800 XC? 150/70-17 in the rear is a bit of an odd duck. Like most people, I prefer to carry standard or even lightweight tubes for the emergency go-to pack. All I seem to be finding anywhere near that size is heavy-duty or ultra-heavy-duty stuff.

Monte, I'll have you know my Tiger leaves the pavement all the time. Just yesterday I had to ride across a strip of grass to get from the bank to the gas station. I was glad I put those new knobbies on, else things could have gotten rough.

Well, it's a good thing Starbucks paves their parking lots.

I ordered one. I tend to do a bunch of hard core powerline rocky trails so the lower gearing will be helpful. I hope it can lift the front without so much clutch slipping as well

I'm curious if you ran into any uniqueness or oddness when doing the swap. Did it install like any other motorcycles front sprocket?

Simple install. No issues. I needed to adjust the chain anyway...

+1 just like any other sprocket change... yesterday, I even managed to lift front wheel in second (with a slight hump in the road) with no clutch!!!

Planning to order the Holan Crash Bars soon.

Does anyone have any "experience" with these bars? Pictures & feedback after some trail time? From the crash bars thread they seem to be the best designed set out there and more visually appealing than the Happy Trails and better engine case coverage, yet nobody had them because they aren't sold by the major distributors out there.
