    Challenge accepted. Something Mid-summer??

PS: I have previously ridden a 2-stroke 200CC bike over 900 Kilometers (500+ miles) on a winter night only stopping for gas. The DR is not going to be that bad..... (I think..)

I have some friends that work for a company named Threadless out of Chicago; it's a t-shirt design company. They had some spare stickers and were looking for ways to add some advertisements to their van...

I'm guessing their job was easier, because there weren't as many sharp corners.

That ACTUALLY looks nice... even on a van.. Wow...
.. If a company would sponsor and gimme money/free $hit, I would do the same... One company all the way, all the plastics etc....

    Finished the front fender.

I actually cut and trimmed the Stock fender to look kinda like SuperMoto. I have to revisit sonme of the decals before Clear coat though since some of them are creased..

Lucky me. Yesterday was perfect for painting the tank outdoors.

Stripped the tank to bare metal using a combination of paint strippers, acetone, heat gun, scraper, wire brush and sand paper. PHEW!! :huh

Sanded all the rusty spots on the tank and painted over with a anti-rust coat. Then primered over that.

Now for the paint. SInce I am going to cover it with stickers anyway, I painted it black. Also because thats the only color I had lying around.

Now to let it sit a day or two before I begin sticker bombing it. Couldnt find a better place to hang it too.. :evil

Looks real nice. I would not have been able to resist putting it all on the bike to see how it looks. And take some pictures. And post them...

I just put the bike back together after installing new bearings, fork brace and replacing all the stock lights with LEDs. (excluding the headlight)

Need some riding time right now but bad thing is, my license expired yesterday and NCDMV sucks. May have to wait a week to get a temporary. SO, I "MIGHT" mock up the plastics on the bike..

    Hey Sasanka,

How the heck are you doing? Well I hope.

Nice job I must say! But unlike most of the "defeatist inmate" commenters here .... I assumed that it would turn out pretty cool from the beginning! :lol3

Glad that I could, and did, contribute to such a fun project. Just scanning your pictures I saw several familiar stickers. Really like the "Go By Bike", Big Agnes (Little Red House), Neduro to Dakar, "Works Sucks -- I'm Going Riding" (a snowboarding sticker ... but still works) Swiss Army Knife, etc. etc. I figured you saved the "Beaver Liquors" sticker for a "special place", :lol3.

Again, nice job. I'll be looking forward to seeing the completed project once you get it all assembled.

    One of a kind!

    Regards, Rob

    Rob,

Im doing great and assume the same with you.

I saved a bunch of your stickers for "other" places :D.. All the colorado ones are really nice. Cant thank you enough for giving them to me.

Thanks for having that faith. I myself was wondering if this were a good idea.. :evil

As for the parts, they are going to the paint shop tonight, and should be done by this weekend. I cant wait myself. Hehe

    Thanks,
    Sasanka

Finally some more progress. It was nice outside yesterday and I had some spare clear coat rattle cans laying around.
So, I skipped the idea of taking the plastics to a shop and did it myself. :D

Dont have any pics of clear coating process but here, they are, all finished up and in my bedroom. Ah, sweet smell of clear..
