I tried searching schematics of the R1150GSA and I couldn't find it after about 20 minutes. I can't search this forum as I don't know what to search for, so my apologies for asking a possible dumb question.

    What is this?

What is it for? Can I buy farkles for it?

    Thanks!

PS Anyone know how to get FD oil off that rear tire?

Factory FD lube analyzer, temp sensor and data storage black box. Also records audio and provides gaseous spectral scanning of rider's flatulent emissons. Is a farkle in itself. Virtually unobtainable, highly sought.

Transponder so your wife can tell where you are any where in the world. Stay away from your local whore house or she will come down and beat the tank up on your GSA. Do you know how expensive those tanks are?
Only problem is you have to remove the chipmunk scraper to install it so it is easy to tell your being tracked.:rofl

That is where the rear mudguard attaches.

Come on Ravenslair - stop teasing the noobs. You can see he doesn't have a rear mudguard so we all know you're just messing with the OP's head.

Shhhh. No one was supposed to say that. I did not want to telll him that is where the whip antenna mounts. I have a big raccoon tail at the top to make sure the antenna does not whip around too much. I think it came off a 5lb raccoon if that helps. I did see a crows foot deployer mounted there in some Mad Max movie if I remember correctly.

And...since it's under $10...it is probably made of cheap plastic, not covered under warranty ...and should probably be purchased in multiples of 3...as spares.

Be sure to take spare with you on the road. Without this in place the ELECTRONICS to the FD will detect it missing and the engine won't start...unless you bypass the sidestand switch.

    Don't ask me HOW I know this.:clap

Oh...BTW...I just read over at the BMWMOA site that there's been a recall of the PLASTIC ones and they are now being produced in CARDBOARD, as a replacement.
    Price remains unchanged, however.

That was installed as part of a recall. The TKC80 tires could apparently catch the secondary fender and issues would arise.

Thanks! I thought this part would fit: 46622313253

I couldn't tell since my brain doesn't process German sketches of 3D parts.
