The Molson High School is cool as heck. Reminds me of the building where I attended elementry school (including the classroom). Giggle

I wish I had this view every single night before I go to bed...AWESOME

From Molson, I tripped into Oroville for fuel and groceries supplies for the nights camp. Departed Oville on a westward heading and rode thru an impressive canyon on the way to Palmer lake. The road was good, then bad, but ended well at the beach on the south end of the lake...wher I took a nice swim on this hot day..

I rode up and down here looking for a good campsite, but didn't find anything I liked.........

So after flailing around for a bit I resorted to the map, and recalled a story about Bonapart Lake, which is west on hwy 20 out of Omak, then north up a forest service rd... up there I found this...

    Things were looking up! :lol3
    [IMG]

I set up camp and enjoyed the evening.... again! I recommend this place....

Got up and in the morning and made my way home to CdA.. thanks for looking.

Me an 'Q blasted south out of CdA Idaho last Thursday en route to Crater Lake Oregon.. We planned stops along the way in Enterprise, Bend, Fossil,, Tri Cities, and lots of waypoint twixt and tween.... Of course, we went right over the edge of the rattlesnake canyon on the first afternoon, but I have posted pictures of that before so none today.. But then, this gorgeous view greeted us as we approached Enterprise, OR so we had to try to capture it...

We rolled into town and found a sweet brew-pub which we had visited before, the Terminal Gravity Brewing Co makes great beers and good food!

Our trip is off to a good start!

We stayed in Enterprise at the friendly and clean Ponderosa Motel.. Awoke to a bluebird day and walked about town a bit to see the sights.. The County Courthouse is a nicely cared for building and grounds with this cool veterans memorial out front...

Around the inside of the circle are these nice benches, lots of them..

    Around the outside is this...

After a night in Bend, checking out a few pubs, on Saturday morning we got motivated and made our way to the Newbery Crater. The viewpoint up top is a bit of a rough ride, but the views are worth it :

We then motored the extremely boring Hwy 97 until we got in line to wait..

But the wait was worth it..

We couldn't have asked for a nicer day to see the Crater Lake! We cruised North toward Bend again, getting thirsty, but on the way we took the Cascade Lakes By-Way around behind Mt Bachelor.. This is a very worthwhile side trip... Lots of info on on volcanic this 'n that, and great views...

Time to get back to Bend...

Sunday am we had to begin the trip towrd home.. Tri Cities (oh boy) to Q's sissy's house..

But on the way there we stopped by Smith Rocks state park, this is a very popular spot amongst climbers, hmmmm wonder why:

Then the we trotted off toward Antelope and Fossil, Or. Some of the best riding ever is on these roads..

Too soon the fun stuff ended, and with a bead of sweat on our brows we blasted across the 95 degree desert toward TC, WA

    the end!
