Has anybody ordered replacements for these?
I was riding my 2013 F800GS like a Dirt Bike on a Desert 4wd trail and I fell down. I have some scratches on both of the side panels that are by the sides of the radiator.
The dealer has these panels listed for about $105.00 so I'm thinking about getting new ones. However the dealer cannot tell me if the panels have the 'F800 and GS' lettering on them.
The price seems reasonable if the lettering is on them but if it isn't I'll just live with some scratches.

Can't ride these bikes like some of us do and not expect some scratches, dents, or broken plastics...Gives the bike character anyhow.

Humvee graphics sells the large GS decal for fairly cheap.

I have the same scratches at the same areA, right next to fender. I though of taking some techspec tank wrap and placing it in the areas that get dinged up. I already have some where my knees run and it works great.

There's still some paint between the scratches on my 09. :lol3

I'd say don't worry about it unless you don't ever plan to head off the asphalt again. It's going to get scratched again and again if you get out in the dirt. Just replace stuff that gets broke.

I suppose you could get a new set of plastics and keep the scratched ones to swap on for off road riding days, but that seems like a lot of work.

I had a bad paintjob and had a 2013 panel replaced. It was ordered in May. The dealership recieved it in September and it did not have stickers. the stickers arrived this week and they finally put the panel on yesterday.

Thanks, I'm thinking that living with some scratches might not be so bad. Price for the panels seems ok but no lettering might be the deal breaker.

If you really want to play around, take your plastics off and get them vinyl wrapped, any color or pattern you want. Scratch them up, just get a re-wrap.

Almost like a new bike everytime! ;)

B C, I busted my right side front panel up bad. I'm seeing something like $418 in the microfiche for replacement. As best I can figure, $105 might be for the small air intake 'snorkel' covers that fasten to the larger side panel.

I got some scratches on my plastic is the desert too, and I ordered a kalamata metallic touch up pen which at least makes them less obvious.

    Thanks!
I don't have any scratches, but I do have some rubbing from the tank bag.
I want to touch it up, then spray a clear over it to protect it.
I got the Scotch Defender for this.
