It is possible, but there are a few things to watch out for:

    - the 660 rallye exhaust goes at the side of the frame, since the protection made of carbon/kevlar covers the exhausts (the 640 Adventure doesn't have this so this makes it a weak point)
    - The 660 rallye exhaust is quite loud from what I've heard (not 'nice loud' but 'LOUD' :)
    - It's BLOODY expensive: nearly 2000 euros!

On the other hand you get a well manufactured exhaust system with excellent finish!

The intent of this thread was to create a list of all the manufacturers, distributors, shops etc. and the web links for all the LC4 exhausts discussed in this thread. These links are what I and others that participated could find, not nessecarily the best, cheapest or quickest... just links.

It was my intent to provide an objective listing of everything that was currently available, I happen to have a Supertrapp IDS2 with the "quiet core", but that doesn't mean I think everybody should run one.

My only request is when you are considering a muffler or complete system, try to go for 96db or less. Lets stop handing the special intrest groups that control our land any additional "silver platered" excuses to restrict it from our OHV use.

    Creeper,

    Good threads should be exhumed.

Plus I thought that the KTM SXC exhaust should be added to this list.

Less as in $$ or in power delivery? Nice looking system but I'm sure the weight goes up again, don't know to much about it..

Link to a standard KTM part? Jez, I thought y'all would consider that insulting. Thanks Mack for covering for me! Rulz noted, thanks Creeper.

I don't think its so dead, this is important stuff for us noobs!!! :nod

So this Remus thing, dual cans on a LC4 Adventure, or just the retard, I mean motard, versions? :D Would that be worth something? What about spark arrestors? Power/fuel efficiency trade-off? I think the SXC is probably fine for my needs; I wonder why y'all need so much more power (that you would sacrifice range)???

Not really interested in the Remus myself, I like the weight savings
    of a 2 into 1.
Just posted the picture to add to the other options available.

    Hello!

I'm currently looking for a slip-on muffler for my 2001 LC4 640 and I don't want to spent a lot of money. For those who'd like to know, Leo Vince has two alluminum cans for the model until 2003 and they're 96dB and 100dB (open version) both @ more or less the equivalent of $350. (prices in Poland :) and for models 2003 -... around $450 up to something ridiculous like $800 but I don't know the details. I was also interested in BIG GUN exhausts because they seem good for a reasonable price. The problem for me is that shipping to Poland would be almost as much as the pipe itself.

I just installed the Titanium pipe from G-Force.

    Ordered it from http://store.solidperformance.com/

It's a bit loud but really wakes things up. Throttle
    response is super crisp now.

For you older LC4 guys, the Up-Tite Racing exhaust was the thing to have. Of course, that was *in the day*, with that old vintage bike.

It was a carbon steel, nickel plated exhaust port to Supertrapp mufflered affair. I doubt they make them anymore, but they turn up for sale on ktmtalk.com now and again.

I have one on my krusty....err..trusty '96 RXC. With 13 plates, it has well-proven baby-waking properties, and makes my neighbors chase me with rakes and machetes. Makes lots more power with the FCR41 carburetor than the OE stuff.

That ol' KTM lays waste to my F650 Dakar. Up 'til about 80mph anyway.

Just drill out the rivet and tap the hole. then you can just scerw it back together when you're done repaking it. Easy. Should probably be repaked every 2500-3000 miles anyway.
When you do it take pictures...I want to see what kind of sparky's inside. :nod
