My scrapper is well under way. 1979 Suzuki TF185. Got it running, new tyre on the front, waiting for the rear one to show up. Extra rear wheel comes from another bike me & Joe Bliss are sharing for parts. Ive got the seat, both wheels, & air box off it so far. Like a couple of crows picking over a carcase at the moment.

    Hey Pezz and fellow Scrappers,

Plans for SAR4 are unfolding here, and being folded up again and unfolding as we speak. The Scare Chair will live again and is booked for some makeover work early in the new year. My son Ryan has been given a bike this week which he's excited about, its complete with a lovely "patina"; it just needs a few little bits and pieces like a hone and rings, its one of these:

Red Suzuki is a Suzuki B105P 120cc. Should have two sprockets on the back wheel for high and low range, 1968ish.

    Hi Router,

not the Bearcat 120cc I'm afraid, but it does have a double sprocket for trails/scrambles AND highway use!

I am pretty sure that is that same as a bike I salvaged from behind a local truck workshop as a kid. They said if I wanted it I could have it as it wasn't going. We got it to go for a couple of weeks, before it really shat its dacks. It was a 1965 Suzuki Sportsman K15, 80cc of blistering power. We cut the exhaust off near the rear shock and she sounded great (we thought so anyhow).

Nice to know a few numbers in advance so we can organise the after ride beer.
Team Inverell has a facebook page.
It is called Team Inverell Scrapheap Adventure Ride.
Just put all the w's, ...'s and /// things in where they are supposed to go and you should get there.

G'day Col, Mate I'm going to try and make this one, I'm pretty crook at the moment with a dodgey back, hopef well sorted and by Feb, the plan is to head up Friday night and stay at the pub Friday and Saturday as you suggested.

Oh and in breaking news looks like the KTM is getting the gurnsey for this years SAR. Yes yes I know I said my intent this year was to actually make it there and back without the assistance of a trailer, what can I say, guess I like a challenge! I'm in the middle of a full on engine rebuild now, plus a few new cables and tyres, and gonna fit a total loss 12v lighting system to it. Some of the guys over on the OZVMX site are helping out with tech info and support. Looks like a few of them might be coming along for the ride too, now that would be something, a few old dirt bikes cutting up that track up to Fords Bridge....the smell of two stroke in the air...mmmmm.

Be good to see you there. Book a room sooner than later.
Make sure you keep a good watch in your mirror when you are leaving Bourke as the Team Inverell Ag bikes might scare you as they go past. Can you image the pace we will be setting.

This is what you will be up against. Notice the fine lines of the Safari Tank, the touring water bottles mounted over the head light and the optional right hand side stand.

Sort of. It is a Scrapheap way of fitting some engine protection. Footpegs to be welded on.

    NEWSFLASH

    Just in from Mudgee :deal

OldDog, obviously suffering after a LONG festive season, is thinking of a 'change of bike', which is legal under Scrapheap Rules and Regulations, from the not overly sensible 1981 KTM 250 2 stroke to something a lot more sensible!! Must be the Mudgee water :lol3:lol3:lol3:lol3
