Charlotte: Ride Planning, 3rd Thursday Pizza-Meet and General Hooliganism

Allonsye demonstrated his considerable on-the-fly GPS navigation skills by keeping us on some great back roads while riding an unplanned route that took us through Linville, Cranberry, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Boone and then for a stretch along the Blue Ridge Parkway as we headed back east. Great weather and very good riding!

Would have rather been cooking, cleaning, doing dishes around the house and possibly watching a chick flick with my wife and mother, but if I had to miss that -- this was a great way to spend the day!

All in all it was a great weekend. I had a lot of fun hanging with EvanAdv and laughing at the Moran Nation. (I won't name names) but someone got drunk and fell into the fire. Evan has pics and it is hilarious. I encourage anyone here to come up next year. Hopefully we have better weather.

New guy in fort mill checking in. I'd love to join on the next ride and am currently looking for a 2012 ktm 690. Anyone know of one for sale please send me a PM.

Looks like I was right across from you, if would would pan left a little there was a green Triumph there. Met a bunch of people, but didn't associate any (or many) names with ADV handles....

The launch party for a new Speed Channel show about motorcycle adventure touring -- Neale Bayly Rides -- will take place at the No Da Brewing Company on Thursday evening, May 30th. It starts at 6:30 PM and the cast and crew of the show (www.nealebaylyrides.com) will be at No Da Brewing (www.nodabrewing.com).

Beer, motorcycles, cigars -- sounds good to me! Anybody else up for attending?
