    Joel,

It looks like you guys had a great time. I ended up going to Gorman instead. Other than pumper carb jetting issues, the XR400 did well! Very comfortable weather as well.

First of all I want to thank Charlie, and his Dad John for hosting us this last weekend at Spangler Hills. Doghouse Riley reported on the Saturday ride already, so I'll add a few pics. It's my first attempt at posting pics, so here goes...
The lineup at the Burro Schmidt tunnel.

Thanks to all for the company and the beer :1drink . It was great meeting everyone. I had a blast, and will be back for more (with my desert tank next time). BTW, my TrailTricks suspension (KTM 450EXC) worked great!

    Hi Folks,

Along with everyone else I enjoyed great time with great people. John and Charlie, you guys were excellent hosts and make a fine team. Thank you both. Charlie thanks for your ride leads, advice, and hospitality. I learned alot and will continue to work on the skills, preparation, and trailside wrenching. Did'nt take many pictures but a few are forthcoming from Joel.

Got home yesterday around 7:30, and saw all the carnage-- of bees on the hood of my van . . .

Thanks to Charlie for hosting a great weekend in such a scenic location! After having some great beer (and no food) at the Indian Wells Microbrewery in Inyokern, it was a solo adventure for me to find the fable mexican restaurant in Ridgecrest. It was the best salsa i've had in a long time at a little place with a patio called Fiesta. It was behind a French place called "Mon Reve" (my dream) which opens for dinner at 5:30, so i'll have to check it out anohter time.

I took some photos and created an account with Picasa, and will try to upload them here soon . . .[IMG]

Thank you Charlie for the hospitality, pointing the way to the husky, and helping us load the bikes.
Thank you Tony (toast) for driving up and keeping me on my toes.
