Thanks for the intel on the go-ins-on around Coah. The word "trouble", used earlier, was really meant in contrast to the peacefulness of Parras that I have read about. Looks like a great place to take a pretty lady but not these.guys. We will probably do a little Jaguar hunting, couple shots and call it an early evening in Torreon. What's on the menu at the Rincon del Bife? What they known for? Sorry to miss ya this time. Trekking back through Mazatlan, PV, Guad and Zaca.

Seasons Greetings from us to you!

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the sierra,
all the motos were purring, anticipating vistas they soon would be seeing...

You've been in my backyard and you've seen my collection of BBQ pits, and I still am convinced I can't out cook you.

Best I can do is trade your steaks and mole for pulled pork and brisket and call it even :freaky

First, thanks a lot Trice, now I cant get "Pasty White Boy" (sung to the tune of "Dirty White Boy") out of my head. :lol3

I got a question, if you pay the TVIP deposit in cash, U.S. greenbacks, do they refund in greenbacks or pesos?

Four of us going down to Galeana and Real de Catorce day after Xmas. :clap

Oh yeah, I forgot. I've crossed twice at Reynosa to go to Galeana. THis trip, thinking about trucking to the border and making a run to Santiago, finding a hotel and then running the Potrero Redondo route backards to Galeana the next day.

How is the Laredo crossing. It would save us probably 40-50 miles, but then we would have to loop around Monterrey. Is it worth it?

I paid the deposit with pesos whe I entered from guatemala, and when I exited at Matamoros I asked if I could have USD's, they said sure and gave me a stack of 20's. YMMV

Does anybody here knows why the front tire wiggles was coming to Acuna today and the KLR does it at about 80mph the F650 did it too at 100mph s some one told me to put more air on the tire but still does it :ear
    Seriously ....

Seriously... You're doing 80mph on a KLR? You deserve a medal for bravery!

Also seriously, the KLR is such an unstable platform at high speed, it could be any number of things - tires, tire pressures, a slight crosswind... You unconsciously holding the bars with an iron grip (fear can do that!) which can make the wiggle worse. My advice is to just relax and go with the flow, and enjoy one of the more fun features of the KLR.

Grooved roads? To me, being from Florida, the way they pave the roads in Texas has made me stop more than once to see if I had a flat or if something was coming loose. Sections of I-35 are notorious but I noticed that some of the secondary roads around Uvalde were also irritating.
