Yawn. Are we going to go through the whole mud gate/ mustache BS this year too? I'm not specifically directing it at you Troy, but that stuff has been so beaten to death, it's not even funny anymore.

That said, I'm very excited about the start. It's going to be a real mix-up. It's easy to speculate on which rider possesses the skill to get into the top ten, but it's the unpredictable elements that really make this any rider's year. It's too bad about your leg Bluebull. Bummer.

LOL...as is the anticipation of the lingerie appreciator!
Thanks for your insights, Ned. Looking forward to the great race unfolding throughout January again.

You're probably right... but until someone else f5ucks up at this coming years event, we just have to work with the material at hand I suppose... like a Volvo BBQ or a Belt tossing Qatari, the semi aquatic Mini road bump, a Redneck SPEED Supercharger or of course the ever popular "Scuse moi, I leave my gloves in ze bivouac" excuse... :evil (No, hang on that was 2011... more old news! :rofl)

Maybe we'll just have to resort to heckling the Alberta rubber neckers in our midst, in order to keep ourselves amused until the 5th of january?

    Cheers f5er's... :1drink

Neil, that's a really bugger about the leg, hope it's a clean break and heals ok

I sympathise as this was me just before the 2012 Dakar, mind you it did mean I could fully participate in the 2012 F5 Dakar :D

Suspected fracture of the tibial plateau (not good), luckily it turned out to me ligament and muscle damage only, although I didn't finish physio until September

It may just involve a certain Frenchman but it doesn't involve retirement. :evil

Cyrils puchased the option on RG's clearance sale (2 x Hummers, an 18 wheeler kool aid box and all the redneck inflater systems you could ever need) and after the 2013 show he is starting his own auto team; l'equipe Hummér au Rouge Bull...? :D

I was to going to comment on what Doyle said, but the "post-Dakar" threw me for a loop. Maybe that's what it would take to get one on the podium. :lol3 I kid. The hummer actually looks fun to watch (unlike the VWs and Beemers, which are no doubt fast, but just kind of boring), and would no doubt be a scream to drive. Regardless, I care little for the cars, and would rather see a big-boy biker retiree step right on up to a Kamaz! Now that would be fun to watch!

You wouldn't. I'm a nobody around here, plus, you wouldn't want me to cry on the advent of my birthday do you??

    OK, I'll spill it...

Helder's contract was only for Morocco and Dakar. Word has it that Cyril has done a deal with HRC and they will not pay for two top riders.

Sheesh! That's a risky move. That would be like Sebastien Loeb quitting Citroen for VW in the WRC
