Kinda sucks, Crutchlow has been a solid rider, but I can understand the business reasons (there's already a Brit in the team w/ a contract in hand) and sporting reasons (the Moto2 champ will need a MotoGP ride).

So we are looking at a very real possibility of all 4 top seats in motogp being held by Spanish riders in 2015. Not good for the series IMO.

You could bet against it -- the return would be good.

Taking the only Tech 3 rider with any sort of success off the bike would be a stupid move, but then again it is MotoGP. Cal has proven himself in my book and is one of the most interesting riders in the class.

I like him, but he's best-of-the-rest, a kinda thankless role played previously by other riders, and it doesn't matter if you're 1 second or 20 seconds off the podium if you're consistently off the podium.

In 2012 he was very good, certainly would´ve been champion, if Marquez wasn´t there. This year, somehow I think I´m gonna need a little more convincing, that he is now head and shoulders above the rest (as was probably expected).

Yamaha just looking for JLo's next teammate and they want to give him a year of understudy before moving to the factory team.

I don't think he was (head and shoulders above the rest) and I think Rabat is showing that very clearly. I think that Redding is the fastest rider in Moto 2 on raw speed and talent, his problem is that he's so much bigger than most of the other riders (Rabat is tall as well but Scott's tall and stocky). The playing field has been leveled a little this season with the introduction of a weight limit for bike and rider in Moto 2 so it's no surprise to see Redding, Rabat etc looking more competitive. Some of the smaller, lighter riders who previously had a big advantage have seen the gap narrowed and I think you can see this with Pol's performances.

Not a 34 fan, but this article was the very best I've ever read from Kevin. I loved it. Maybe it was posted earlier, but I've not been on the site much lately.
