My mount from Touratech isn't in yet. I'm ready to get it and put it on the bike.

I might could be persuaded, depends if I can get my bike maintenanced on Saturday, I'm about 1500 miles overdue on the 24 k. I'll let you know before sat afternoon.

Ok,ok.....camp out the weekend if Pie Run 25th thru 27th. Not sure how many want to come to Friday night but I will have the gate open and fire hot Saturday morning we will head to Hico and wander around the country back Ghost Rancho byob will decide menu later

Well do it after the campout. At the campout, they'll be plenty of people to give you valuable pointers on what to do and look for. Its an important part of any maintenance effort.

Well Cindy and I are planning on being at the Pie Run and might ride with yall for a couple of hours after, but we have to get back home. We both have kids back home.

You just had your 44,563 mile maintenance. You shouldn't have to turn a wrench for another four years.

The guys at a-1 are the only place I can get valve shims anymore.! They are always easy to deal with

These grip muffs sure have been sweet on my commute in the mornings...toasty ! With grip heaters on, cold hands are a non-issue.
They look a bit fugly but best ones I seen out there. Liner can be used tucked in or out/pimped, see below

Those look seriously warm. Reminds me of the day I left Yellowstone 37F and raining. F'ing miserable. I didn't think gear existed that would have kept my hands warm but this looks like the deal.

I can't quite read the logo - got some brand info for us? Or better yet a link.

Does it say Tucano? Google says that is a brand.

Only took about a week to get mine. Less than $100 total. Much better than gloves. A couple of things, little tight at first over switches,
so I wedged in a couple roles of paper towels, let them sit overnight and stretched them out.
Second, you really can't stand on the pegs at the angle they sit. Which may or may not be an issue for you.
You have to do a little finageling to get them air tight as possible, but I'm very happy with them.

Didn't that German bike company buy a Swedish bike company and start making them in Italy? And these come from England, right? Makes sense to me. Sort of.

Sounds like they do not go on and off quickly or easily. I'd use them when I'm on the pavement for long stretches at high speed, not so much in the dirt. Wil they come off easily when the sun gets up?

yeah, they do limit the off road possibilities, great for road trips. Really not bad getting them on,
first time 30-45 minutes then a few adjustments after riding.
I've got them zip tied in a few places to minimize cold air coming in around mirrors and support, so no on and off.
On the other hand, you could loosen to get some ventilation if needed. Today, 65 degrees with regular gloves , hands not hot.


Italian company that started making muffs etc for scooters, then expanded. I think some are on fleabay but not the same model for a GS.
