I'm poor, I won't be getting a 1200 till they are in the four digit range. Are the "better" then the 1150 or "different"? I love the 4,000 miles I've put on the 1150 in the three months I've had it. Can't see the 1200 being that much "better".

Not my bike, but never seen an orange 1150 and this one was for sale locally. I think I might have to go see a painter.....:evil

I agree but we're both from Illinois and any sight of a mountain gets us hot and bothered :lol3

Those are more like "hills" after living here. Whenever I go back to VA I always chuckle at the "mountains". :D

These are the central Pyranean "hills" north of Huesca in Spain - granted not Mt McKinley but they had only just opened the pass and given the weather was so feckin' awful I think it was the hardest day I've spent on a bike. When I got down to Pau in France later that evening to meet up with friends they all said that I looked shattered. The GS was exactly the right bike but it wasn't helped by my bizarre decision to use an open face helmet and leathers. Won't make that mistake again...

Immediately after I took this photo the bike fell over due to the sidestand sinking into the surface. Wasn't that difficult to pick up even fully loaded but the first thing I did, back in the UK, was get a 2"x2" plate welded to the bottom of the foot.

Nicely done! I like the red accent pieces here and there. It's so clean you're never gonna want to take it anywhere!

What's that mounted to the caliper bracket--some sort of marker light?

Any chance to see a pic of the tank from the front?

    Drone,

Compared to you hack, my GS is small stuff (I do dream of adding a side car like yours one day! just like yours! let me know if you consider selling it :ear)

Brake calipers protectors are from Rizoma.

Photo does hide well the imperfections/ scratches here and there. It is NOT a true garage queen (while turning into one for the past 2-3 years since not riding anymore.... only 5K miles added since moving to Boston in 2007 :cry.... spending more time cleaning and wrenching than riding these days... )

Expect to change this as moving back to Norcal this week! :clap

That is the best looking $1400 11-gallon tank I've ever seen! Would be really nice on my sidecar rig since weight is not an issue and fuel consumption is.

Great looking bike. I almost bought the same color 1100 last year but had to wait a few months for the owner to bring it to AZ and opted for a 1150 closer to home.
