I'm interested in tagging along. When are you thinking?

My comment was focused on the type of trip not necessarily the type of bike. We are bringing the little bikes just so we can putt around and screw off, not really caring where we end up, what speed we travel at, what we do, traveling light, or how far we go....just a nice relaxed easy going mini vacation with a bit of fun mixed in.

Word. I'm sure I'll be fine and if I'm holding it up or having problems I'm fine turning around and cutting bait.

The only little bikes I've is ktm 200 and a 450SMR. Nothing about those bikes is relaxing :)

I got a new nikon d7000 I want to play with too, so a more sedate pace is fine.

I am very interested in tagggin along! Have not done much secondary road riding around MD, and would be great to get out! When are you thinking of scouting? Please keep me posted.

If you can post a zoom of the top section near anne arundel I ride around here allot and might know if there are some better roads in there.

A few updates, I will look at the calendar tonight and see when we could get out. With any luck, we'll schedule this in the next 4-6 weeks on a weekend day.

I am in if available. I know a lot of roads in in Anne Arundel and Calvert from growing up there and running with the Medic Unit.

I've got to go open the gym but those wildlife loop roads aren't open or at least they never use to be. I'll stick a suggestion up later tonight when I get home.


Edit according to the web site, they're open I've been living here a while and never went there because the gates where always closed...

Looking at the calendar on post #2, only a few dates open in the next 6 weeks. Here's the best options I see:

Sun 3/10
Sat 3/23 [Won't work for EOD3MC, Lakota, Motoman]
Sun 3/24 [Won't work for EOD3MC]

as far as I know there is only one authorized entrance /exit from the north tract of the wildlife refuge, which is off of rte 198. the exit onto patuxent road is closed to traffic.

last time I rode down meyer station road it dead ends at a farm. the proposed bicycle trail had not been opened due to conflicts over a rifle range on private property. if it is now open it will be a no motor vehicle path. will check it this weekend.

Got the KTM clutch fixed for now. Apparently the master cylinder is weeping and needed fluid added. Added a bit of fluid and it's got the normal feel back. Noticed a good bit of sediment though. Guess I need to plan on cleaning and flushing the system out here soon.

I'm no go for this sunday but don't let that stop the team.

Yeah I'm not happy about it either and it looks like the weather on sunday is suppose to be really nice.

I'm helping a friend, who just bought a house, remove a bearing wall and install a couple of LVLs to carry the load. There's an outside chance we'll get done tomorrow afternoon...
