    Gday all,

Wondering if anyone in the collective adventure rider world has travelled from Darwin across the Gulf and up to Cape York and back?
A broad question, I realise. I am trying to gauge if it would be possible to do in a 14 day window, in the dry season, without being a marathon of all riding and no sightseeing as such.
    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hello
    I drove Cairns-Cape York-Weipa-Cairns-Normanton-Roper Bar-Mataranka this June-July.
This took me almost 2-3 weeks one way.
Normanton-Roper Bar-Mataranka is great with few traffic and lots of watercrossings,
some good dirt roads but also some bulldust.
Forget Cape York with the bike.
Every summer they have a asshole meeting up there and every idiot with a SUV must attend it.
You suck a lot of dirt because they don't slow down when they pass you and there are even some roadkings who think it's fun to overtake a bike doing already 90 km/h on the dirt.
For the sidetracks you might need more time as well.
