I'm gonna have to put this ride on the side burner for now. Menieres has been kicking my butt this year. Doesn't keep me from riding on good days, but right now I can't be sure of being able to put a weeks worth of riding together without an attack. Last thing I would want to do is join a group for such an epic ride knowing from the jump that I might cause others a problem during it. Hitting the gym and riding every chance I get so who knows... Things sometimes work out. :)
I love that foto - what a great day!! Man oh man was that XRL loaded, cost us a flat tire further down the road too but again we got that taken care of and we all made it back in good time.

Hello, I would like to join the CAM 2000 list. I have a 950 Adventure that I will ride down from Calgary, Alberta unless,....there is another Adventure rider that wants to do the CAM 1000 and truck pool down to Colorado. I have a 450cc bike suitable for the Cam 1000, and the skills to ride the 1000, but it is a long way to trailer one little bike for the ride. Please send me the information package for this event. I live in Sunny Florida but I'm going into my third riding season riding out there West of Denver with a 97 xr600r set up for light weight travel and ability to camp. Have 200 mi range with 4 msr bottles that tuck away nicely. I usually go out for a long trip in Sept. I'd love to do this and meet others and travel safer than when I'm solo. I have been riding FTR hare scrambles on Florida on a YZ250F, lots of sand and technical riding lately. Last Sept I did a 25 day Colo trip with dolphinjohn on his 640e. As many of you know, me and my RMAR Board are working on three events this year..... July 5-8: White River COHVCO Rendezvous in Meeker, CO (Click HERE) August 2-5: RMAR Rendezvous in Silverton, CO (Click HERE) September 2-8: RMAR CAM 1k/2k (7 day point to point ride around Colorado) We just got back from the scouting trip for the WR-COHVCO-RDV (Pics Below).....and wow, this area will be built into the CAM 2013 route. To the east is high mountain forest and to the west is dry country BLM. But, I will begin working on our evening stops each day, the next couple of weeks. I will be setting up the accomidations for tent camping, with restrooms and showers. I will be making the reservations, but it will be your responsibility to make payment when you arrive each day. I am going to negotiate hard and shoot for $8-$12 nights. (Anyone wanting a motel on any given night, it is your own responsibility to research and reserve.)
this looks like my kind of ride where I get a daily dose of dirt and mountains. Is this a camping, hotel, or combo ride? I would like to join your group. Checked the Continental Divide ride off my list last year. TAT is next on my list, but have not found ride buddies for it yet. Looks like it I will have to take two vacations to finish it. Starting in the East this winter.
