With the brief break in the weather, figured I'd see how things looked. Headed up 233 through Caledonia and then up Milesburn. Looked promising until I got to the reservoir. Access road to the parking lot was ice covered, didn't find that out until I got halfway through it, so just kept going rather than try to stop.

Milesburn further up on the left side of the reservoir was covered in ice too, so decided to just head back.

Took a little ride today. As noted already, many of the roads in Michaux are still pretty icy. Had to turn back several times. But, I was riding. :clap

Incidentally, I am loving the new battery-powered riding gloves I got a few weeks ago. Warm hand make a huge difference and the TW lacks the electric output to run heated gear. These work great.

Core. They are powered by Gerbing's so I figure they should work well. So far so good.

It's even righter now. Rebuilt the carb today. Running much better in my garage than it did yesterday. Now if the weather would just cooperate so I can give her a good shakedown ride. :clap

Look out Md and Pa back roads I'm coming home from Japan early. Get the snows off the roads so I can burn them up.

Great day for riding today, but I wasn't quite expecting this to still be around in such abundance in Michaux. A different kind of challenge, but like always a great ride.

    Good day for knobby tires.

And Milesburg Lake is still frozen.

On Friday, I was heading up the north end of Cold Springs Road from Pine Road, and where the pavement ended the ice began. So, I spent the rest of the afternoon on asphalt, instead.

Man... The place looks great to me. Thanks Jdub and Turbo! :thumb

We just got 8 more inches last night. Didn't look to see if the Forest got any.

Do you have your bike listed on Craigslist? If so I am interested.
