the '06 and '07 were identical, I was told the last production run was in '06 and no new bikes were actually built in '07

And some left overs were sold in 2008 as the "Travelers Edition".

Got my engine in bits at the moment, and as you do, am looking at the 660 rallye crank.

Anyone know how complete the KTM 'crankshaft complete' is? Is it either end only or as in the picture crank with rod?

Can anyone confirm the rallye crank will go in and can keep both electric and kick start?

You get the whole crank, both halves and the con rod in full assembled form... If you use this longer stroke crank, you may also need the 660 cylinder... To confirm you need to measure the depth of the 660 jug from top to bottom and compare it to the 640 unit, ...

It had two dics and calibers but previous owner removed the right side I have the removed ones in a box along with the rear plate hanger, the indicators, the original rims and a few other small parts that he removed.

I am looking for a different set up. Not quite liking this but the previous owner cut the fairing and adde the carbon fibre sheet.

    Hopefully get sorted soon.

    Thanks Gunner,

Havent got a 660 barrel to measure, think though as the parts lists shows both using the same timing chain with 100 links? (think it was 100) and use a different rod that difference in stroke is handled with a shorter rod.

Interested also in any differences in the ends as well as the 660 was electric start on rally only, and kick on smc only.

Been PMing an inmate who was going to try it years ago. He cant remember why but gave up as it was too hard, thinks casings need machining or something of the like.

I converted a SXC awhile back and then later picked up a complete 640 ADV. I still have an extra silver tank, silver front/mask,and headlight bracket if you're interested. Also, I fashioned an interesting substitute bracket for the headstock tabs that support the headlight bracket that worked brilliantly The ADV headstock has welded tabs for that purpose which the SXC doesn't. I've been holding on to a 2nd set of headlights which I may let go as well.

    Here's the '03 SXC convert

When I was researching the difference between the '03 660 Factory Replica Supermoto and my SXC, I saw that the crank bearings were different to fit different journal shafts on each side of the crank of the SXC. I assumed the differences had something to do with a different magneto to support the lights. Maybe it just takes sourcing a different bearing for the right side journal shaft that will also fit the right crankcase halve properly?
