Minimum weight for the 636 is 20 lbs more than the 600cc fours

With regards to the full season, hopefully they can improve upon their reliability problems from last year.

With 2 of 11 rounds TBA and no TV or any kind of broadcast package, I fear the season is on shaky ground.

I have no doubt they are working on making something happen behind the scenes but I also believe things are really bad.

The next confirmed round on the schedule is May 31st!

Does anybody know of any bars in the Madison or La Crosse area that will be showing the AMA racing on BeIn TV? I am desperate to see some racing.
    Any viewing parties?
    Thanks

    Dick

Sounds like Dave Despain is also getting tired of the Daytona 200 Debacle by AMA c/o DMG. It was quite a shot over the bow in his report on wind tunnel lamenting the status of the event. Between that and his and others resignation from the AMA hall of fame last year the AMA used an cannon to shoot themselves in the foot and missed hitting their torso instead.

Any rumors or info. on the TBA announced round prior to Road America?

We still have a couple months, so I guess it's still a theoretical possibility (and it's still listed on the schedule as Round 2), but promotion and logisitics of getting teams to where ever will be harder and harder if they don't announce something soon.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

If they don't come up with some way to broadcast the other races on the season pretty soon, they are in danger of the season collapsing, IMHO.

Many of the teams at Daytona were only committed for that race with everything else on hold unless there is some sort of broadcast package.

I would be interested to hear what Mike has to say, but it sounds like Daytona was a shadow of what was once a great race.

The deafening silence regarding all of the loose ends is ominous, again, IMHO.

They had the same phantom post-Daytona TBA on the schedule last year. Didn't happen then, and I wouldn't hold my breath for it this year.

Sure. I don't understand the interest in 9th place battles when they are taking place a timezone or three behind the leader. :dunno

Not saying there was any interest in a 9th place battle but she still finished ahead of about 20 other riders, regardless of the circumstances.
