For those of you that attended the show, which brand of knobbies were mounted on the white GSA (see first photo)? My dealer says I have an option between off road tires and dual sport street tires. I want to go with the knobbies, but I'd like to know the brand. It looks like RevZilla shows that the Karoo 3 and the TKCs are available in that size. TKCs, in the proper size are mounted on the bike in the second photo. Regarding the tires at the show, did you happen to notice if the tire size is consistent with the wheel size (120/70R19 and 170/60R17). Thanks.
Only the white one was with Karoo 3. The others were with Michelin Anakee. I put TKC on my bike for this summer (GS LC). Nice. I have Karoo 3 ready for Maroco next year in the garage.
Thanks for the pic and finally showing the storage area on top of the tank. Any predrilled ports in there to route a line so we can charge our phones?
It appears that by this pic, a peg lowering bracket will interfere with the side stand. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-famgq1-tI.../s1600/EICMA+2013.11.08+GSA+photo+012_DxO.jpg
wouldn't have thought so. Put a bump stop on the peg and let the stand sit a little lower. Don't sweat the small stuff.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr come on BMW... use black in your normal GS! Why wait 4+ years for the "triple black" (all black, whatever) GS? Sorry for the little hijacking.
BTW I won't get a GSA (I don't like this fat thing in front of me), but this blue is fan-tastic. Even better than the blue WGS. Which in turn was maybe the best blue in years. And I don't even like blue normally. :)
VFR 800 and my GS is currently sharing its parking bay with one. Not sure what happens there in the dark.
I'll have to wait till january to see one. Autoshow here I come. And A blue car is enough. Although I'll probably soon change for a grey car. 2 grey bmw's seems a bit grey, but why not? And some colours look better IRL, and others start to grow on you. Initialy I doubted for grey and red. Nowadays grey is still ok, but blue and white also seem nice. But a white GSA with blue lettres and an blue seat.
Love both the blues!!! The GS Grabber Blue harkens back to the muscle car era..love it..but the Adventure Blue...sweet!
Dealer reckons £17,000 otd for a full spec one over here. A lot of money. Irony is - there will be a 2 month waiting list even at that price...
20370 Euro's here for a fully speces one without cases. Pricing has been made available here. But it is only marginally more expensive than the GS. And in the UK they are a bit cheaper.
That sounds about the same (ish) as the UK. Sales figures for october show that the GS is still going strong. They probably sell more in one month than Honda has sold Crosstourers in total...
