Seeing that reminded me of this:

I didn't dislike them until I rode one....can't say that there is anything wrong with them just that I didn't care for it. Sort of like riding a four wheeler except that it cornered REALLY well and I was not convinced that my considerable inertia was going to permit me to keep on the same path it traveled.

    OTOH.....
with some studs in the tires, you could ride it all winter and it should have 'better than Russian' reliability.

A nice thick coating of road salt would certainly improve this particular one's appearance.:lol3

In 2007 I got back into riding after a 15 year layoff with a new Bonneville T-100. It was the bike I had always wanted way back when. After some months I realized I wasn't happy with the suspension, and how it (didn't) turn in, and many other little oddities. It went to a new home in less than 2 years.

This video captures every thing I liked and didn't like about the bike. The narration had me laughing almost as much as the editing. Great sense of humor the Aussies have (and I married one :D).

Thanks for posting that! As a Scrambler owner I can identify with pretty much all he says but he is much more entertaining than I could ever be. The new Triumphs are certainly not like the old ones except in a few styling cues. On the other hand, my 'new' Triumph has never left me sitting on the side of the road. Superlatives just don't spring to mind when riding my Scrambler but it always makes me smile and has done the same for everyone who has ridden it.

That video was hilarious. Just the thing on a cold icy morning when the wife has her panties in a knot.

    Nothing GOOD about that foot!
If my knees and back hadn't given out I might have gotten the second kayak loaded and tied down on Saturday. That might have been enough 'momentum' to trudge back and forth today, tossing the rest of our 'needed' stuff into the camper so we could hit the road.
Instead I drove my thumper for a few hours (significant others choice of parking precluded the plow guy having any chance of clearing the yard) and then took the truck & camper for a couple of laps around the block, almost clearing enough snow from the roof rack so the kayak can go on in the morning.
They are saying it will be warmer by the end of the week, if all goes well I should be seeing mid 70's by then!
