Brian is the guy that runs it, super nice guy. He teaches this class and some other classes that are more for beginners.

He starts with some real basic stuff and then later in the afternoon he starts to add more complex ideas, especially when the dirt get introduced.

It's very laid back and low stress track day and absolutely worth every penny. If you bring yer own bike, it's only $40

You should come out for one!! Sign up for Sept. 23 - its also free BBQ day!!!

Im thinking about it..... Id need to drop about $1500 for tires and wheels/brakes though.

I enjoy it, Im not sure I enjoy it enough to drop a big chunk like that yet. Then I have to convince my wife that i need them..... however she might be into it if she thinks it will keep me out of the desert a bit.

Love thep hotos: You're looking the part with your ballistic vest than the others all spanked up in their twat suits! :lol3

    Oooo, that is not good.

I have the same issue, but you need to sell the idea that we cannot change them so they cannot change us....I mean desert racing is part of our characters, right?

she doesnt want me to stop racing - she wants me to stop crashing

    :lol3

and I agree. I dont want to go through that again.....my pace will certainly be slower for awhile till I get stronger and haul ass again. I was just getting the hang of those starts too...

OK triathlon boy, are you ready to quit talking and start riding? This old, fat, poptart eating centenarian rode not one, but two full desert races this weekend.

that's awesome, Mike!! Yer insane..... but that's amazing! I doubt I would be able to do that unless I was riding every single weekend for years.

Im still pretty loopy from my wisdom teeth getting pulled out but ill be ready to so supermoto next weekend. Im still going to wait till the enduro for my next race and you need to tell me for which row to ask.

so does that mean you're going to start doing Triathlons with me?

    :D

Saturday's start was a Le Mans, I had to run 30 or 40 feet to my bike. That was my entire running allotment for this decade.

I am not. The next race im planning on doing is the Taft GP in Feb. If they are going to have another Catalina this year, I want to have some GP experience under my belt. I may ask Mike to further Guru me on the whole MX track thing.
I cant get comfortable on the jumps....

in other news I sold the 650R last night

    :cry

Bittersweet - loved the bike but I just dont ride in the dirt enough to justify having two dirtbikes.

Was sad to see her go but it was time

I am the last person to get jumping advice from. Sometimes I can do it, but it's hard for me to fling myself in the air. Got a new bike, racing it this weekend. With my new number plate :evil
